Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

Friday, February 25, 2022

They have washed their long robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb (Rev. 7:14).

This means that they have a clear conscience and that they have Jehovah's approval (Is. 1:18). They are dedicated, baptized Christians who have strong faith in Jesus' sacrifice and are friends of Jehovah (John 3:36; 1 Pet. 3:21). For all this, they can be before the throne of God giving him “sacred service day and night” in the earthly courtyard of his spiritual temple (Rev. 7:15). In fact, they already enthusiastically do most of the preaching and disciple-making work, putting Kingdom interests above their own.—Matt. 6:33; 24:14; 28:19, 20. Those who make up the great crowd are sure that God will continue to care for them after the great tribulation because the Bible says that "he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them." What's more,This promise that the other sheep have been waiting for so long will be fulfilled: God “will wipe every tear from their eyes” (Rev. 21:3, 4). w21.01 16 paras. 9, 10

In what way are the anointed and the other sheep the same?

The anointed and the other sheep are just as important to God. He feels the same love for both groups. In the end, he paid the same price—the life of his dear Son—to purchase both the anointed and the other sheep. The only difference between the two groups is that they have different hopes, but both have to be loyal to God and to Christ (Ps. 31:23). And let's not forget that God can make his spirit act with the same force on all his servants. Jehovah can give his spirit to each person according to what he needs, regardless of whether he is anointed or the other sheep.

What are the anointed looking forward to?

Anointed Christians are not born with the heavenly hope, but Jehovah has to put it in their hearts. They think of their hope, mention it in their prayers, and look forward to receiving their reward in heaven. And, although they cannot even imagine what their spiritual body will be like, they cannot wait to reunite with Jehovah, Jesus, the angels, and the rest of the anointed ones, and to take their place in the heavenly Kingdom (Phil. 3:20, 21; 1 John 3:2).

What do the other sheep really want?

The other sheep harbor a hope that comes naturally to all human beings: that of living forever on Earth (Eccl. 3:11). They very much look forward to the day when they can contribute to making the entire planet a paradise and can build their own houses, plant their orchards and gardens, and enjoy perfect health together with their families (Is. 65:21- 2. 3). They are eager to travel all over the earth, to see the mountains, the forests, and the seas, and to learn more about Jehovah's fascinating creation. But nothing excites them as much as knowing that their friendship with Jehovah will be stronger and closer each day.
