Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

Jehovah is on my side, I will not be afraid (Ps. 118:6).
When you ask Jehovah to give you courage, he will answer your prayers and never leave you.—Acts 4:29, 31. He will always be there to support you. Think about how he has helped you through difficulties and empowered you to make changes in his life. If he brought his people through the Red Sea, have no doubt that he can help you become a disciple of Christ (Ex. 14:13). Be as confident as the psalmist who spoke the words of today's text. Jehovah can also help new publishers to be courageous. Look at what he happened to a sister named Tomoyo. The day he started preaching from house to house, at the first door a lady came out and yelled at him: “I don't want to know anything about Jehovah's Witnesses!”, and she slammed the door on him. Without losing heart, Tomoyo said to her classmate, “Did you see that? I didn't say a peep and the lady already knew that she was a Jehovah's Witness. What joy!” Tomoyo is now a regular pioneer. w20.09 6 paras. 13, 14
What other reasons motivate us to preach?
Let's look at other reasons that motivate us to preach. One is that we want to obey this command of Jesus: “Go and make disciples” (Matt. 28:19, 20). Another is that people are “battered and abandoned” and desperately need to learn Kingdom truth (Matt. 9:36). Jehovah wants all kinds of people to come to an accurate knowledge of the truth and be saved.—1 Tim. 2:4.
How does Romans 10:13-15 show how important preaching is?
Something that will motivate you to preach is to think about the effect that this work can have. The fisherman catches fish to sell or eat, but we “catch” people to save their lives (read Romans 10:13-15; 1 Tim. 4:16).
What should a fisherman know, and why?
In Jesus' time, the Israelite fishermen had to know what kind of fish they could catch (Lev. 11:9-12). They also needed to know where to find them. Fish tend to be in areas where the water conditions are best for them and where there is enough food. And does it matter what time the fishermen go out to do their work? Consider the conversation between a brother from a Pacific island and a missionary. The brother invited him to go fishing and the missionary told him, "See you tomorrow at nine in the morning." But the brother replied: “This doesn't work like that. The time depends on the fish, not on us.”
Similarly, first-century fishers of men went fishing at times and in places where they were most likely to find fish. For example, Jesus' disciples preached in the temple, in the synagogues, from house to house, and in the marketplace (Acts 5:42; 17:17; 18:4). We also have to know well the customs of the people who live in the area where we preach. We must be flexible and fish where and when we are most likely to find people (1 Cor. 9:19-23).
