Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022
Monday, January 24, 2022
And I heard the number of the sealed: 144,000 (Rev. 7: 4).
The reward Christ's anointed brothers receive for their faithfulness is to become kings and priests with him in heaven (Rev. 20: 6). Jehovah, Jesus, and the angels will be very happy when the 144,000 anointed ones receive their heavenly reward. After mentioning the 144,000 kings and priests, the apostle John sees something exciting: a “great crowd” surviving Armageddon. Unlike the first group, this second group is much larger and it is not known exactly how many there are (Rev. 7: 9, 10). They are "clothed in long white robes," indicating that they have remained "unspotted from the world" from Satan and have been loyal to God and Christ (James 1:27). They shout loudly that they owe their salvation to what Jehovah and Jesus, the Lamb of God, have done. What's more,They carry palm fronds in their hands as a sign that they gladly accept Jesus as the King whom Jehovah has appointed (compare John 12:12, 13). w21.01 15-16 pars. 6, 7.
In what way are the anointed and the other sheep the same?
The anointed and the other sheep are just as important to God. He has the same love for both groups. After all, he paid the same price — the life of his beloved Son — to buy both the anointed and the other sheep. The only difference between the two groups is that they have different hopes, but both have to be loyal to God and to Christ (Ps. 31:23). And let's not forget that God can cause his spirit to act with the same force on all his servants. Jehovah can give his spirit to each person according to what he needs, regardless of whether he is anointed or from the other sheep.
What are the anointed ones looking forward to?
Anointed Christians are not born with heavenly hope, but Jehovah has to put it in their hearts. They think about their hope, mention it in their prayers, and are looking forward to their reward in heaven. And although they cannot even imagine what their spirit body will be like, they cannot wait to meet with Jehovah, Jesus, the angels and the rest of the anointed ones, and to take their place in the heavenly Kingdom. --Philip. 3:20, 21; 1 John 3: 2).
What are the other sheep really looking forward to?
The other sheep harbor a hope that comes naturally to all human beings: that of living forever on Earth (Eccl. 3:11). They look forward to the day when they can contribute to making the whole planet a paradise and they can build their own houses, plant their gardens and gardens, and enjoy perfect health together with their families (Isa. 65: 21- 2. 3). They are eager to travel all over the earth, see mountains, forests, and seas, and learn more about Jehovah's fascinating creation. But nothing excites them as much as knowing that their friendship with Jehovah will grow stronger and closer every day.
