Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022
Wednesday, January 19, 2022
Ezra had prepared his heart to consult Jehovah's Law and teach its standards (Ezra 7:10).
When we accompany someone to a Bible course, it is good that we prepare the lesson in advance. Dorín, a special pioneer, explains: “I appreciate that my partner is well prepared. This way it can contribute something useful ”. In addition, this will set a good example for the student, as they will likely find that both of you are well prepared. Even if we can't study the lesson thoroughly, let's take time to identify the key points. Prayer is an essential part of Bible class, so let's think beforehand what we will say if we are asked to pray. In this way, we can be more specific (Ps. 141: 2). Hanae is a sister from Japan who remembers the prayers of a sister who accompanied her teacher. He says: “I was aware of the deep friendship I had with Jehovah, and I wanted to be like her. Also, when he mentioned my name in his prayers,It made me feel loved ”. w21.03 9-10 pars. 7, 8
Why should we warmly welcome students to meetings?
In order for a student to progress to be baptized, he or she must attend meetings regularly and take advantage of them (Heb. 10:24, 25). The first time a student attends a meeting at the Kingdom Hall is likely to be because they were invited by their teacher. So we can all encourage you to keep coming. How can we do it?
Let us warmly welcome the student (Rom. 15: 7). If we make the student feel welcome at the Kingdom Hall, they will likely want to continue attending. Let's greet him warmly and introduce him to other siblings, but without overwhelming him. Let's not assume that someone is taking care of him; your teacher may not have arrived yet or is busy attending to some responsibilities. Let us pay attention to what he says and take an interest in him. What effect can all this have? Let's see what Dimitri says, who was baptized only a few years ago and is already a ministerial servant. Recalling their first meeting, he recounts: “I stood outside the Kingdom Hall waiting nervously. A brother saw me and very kindly took me inside. I was surprised that many came to greet me. I was so delighted that I wished there were meetings every day.I had never felt anything like it. "
What effect can our behavior have on students?
Let's set a good example. Our behavior can help a student become convinced that he has found the truth (Matt. 5:16). Vitali, a pioneer from Moldova, relates: "By looking at how the brothers in the congregation lived, thought and behaved, I became convinced that Jehovah's Witnesses are the true religion."
How could our example help someone to keep progressing?
If a student wants to qualify for baptism, he must put into practice what he is learning. That is not always easy. But when you see how it benefits us to put the principles of the Bible into practice, you may be prompted to follow our example (1 Cor. 11: 1). Let's look at the case of Hanae, mentioned in paragraph 8. Remember: “The brothers were a living reflection of what I was learning. By watching them, I learned to encourage others, to forgive, and to show love. They always had something good to say about each other. I wanted to be like them ”.
