TREASURES OF THE BIBLE, Week of August 30 to September 5, 2021, “Let's learn from the comparisons of an inspired song”, Prepared Speech.

TREASURES FROM THE BIBLE, August 30-September 5: “Let's Learn From Inspired Song Comparisons,” Discourse.

“Learn from Inspired Song Comparisons” (10 min.)

Are you one of those who would say that songs from years ago had beautiful lyrics? Those compositions conveyed stories, they were pure poetry, they affected the emotions and they still do. When we listen to these types of songs with stories that really reached the depths of our being.

And think a bit about those composers, who wrote with feelings, they wanted to leave traces in the people who listened to these stories. Many of those composers are no longer with us, they have passed away, but their stories and songs have remained.

And in this discourse we are going to speak briefly about a composer that what he wrote, that what he made sing still remains in us through thousands of years. And this composer is Jehovah God, who would say that he has composed songs and we are going to discuss one of them in this section of Treasures of the Bible: "Let us learn from the comparisons of an inspired song."

LET'S READ: Deuteronomy 32:2-3

My teachings will fall like rain, my words will drip like dew, like soft rains on the grass and like heavy downpours on the vegetation. 3 For I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Make known the greatness of our God!

Some points that we highlight here is, for example, that Jehovah makes himself known by name and Moses makes him known by name and Moses does so so that everyone listens and makes it very clear who his God is.

However, another point that is also highlighted is how his words would have an effect on people. He speaks that they will drip like dew, like soft rain on the grass and like heavy downpours on the vegetation. As we said a few moments ago, the words that tell stories have a positive effect decades and decades later.

How could we make these words of Jehovah like dewdrops, refreshing, like a gentle rain on vegetation? It could be when we pass the information on by preaching the good news. We want to continue to convey the message that God is called Jehovah.

We want to direct people to the tools that Jehovah gives us through organization, publications, great videos, our website and wherever we are we can create opportunities to convey this truth and we want to do so tactfully. Without offending people.

Perhaps at first they do not accept what we are saying, but let us have patience for what we are saying, but let us have patience so that our words that come from God will not cause harm. Like the circle we see here, a drawing of a grass with dew does not mistreat it. Rather it refreshes it.

We also want to do the same in preaching, to make people feel the pleasure of hearing this good news. Rather than feeling affected and rejecting the truth. Let's see another point that we can convey with this song made by Jehovah.

LET'S READ: Deuteronomy 32:4

He is the Rock, everything he does is perfect, because all his ways are just. He is a faithful God who never does injustice. He is fair and upright.

What a beautiful description of Jehovah is seen here. He presents it as a rock. If you see in your activity guide, in the center circle, a solid, strong, resistant rock is drawn there. If a natural disaster, such as a hurricane, a cyclone. You had to choose where to protect yourself between a rock like the one we see there, a piece of cardboard or a weak piece of wood. Which one would you choose?

I think the question is unnecessary, but it is to have ideas or the different options. Of course it would be the rock. And so he resembles Jehovah, like a rock, a rock, a stronghold where we can find safe refuge for ourselves in very difficult situations, where life hits us so hard. Jehovah really is that rock in which we want to seek and find refuge.

LET'S READ: Deuteronomy 32:11-12

Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, that spreads its wings, grabs them, and carries them on its feathers, 12 Jehovah alone guided it; no foreign god was with him.

Knowing perfectly how his creation does things, Jehovah describes what an eagle does to teach its young to fly. It indicates that it is stirring its nest, that is, it is flapping its wings so that the chicks see what they must also do to begin to have the necessary agility to fly.

It should be noted that eagles have their nests in very, very high parts, on cliffs, in inaccessible places, and there they build their nests with the danger that the chicks may fall. And sure, this could be fatal.

However, as we see in the inset, in the third circle where the eagle is seen fluttering its wings for the chicks to observe, it is preparing because being in such a high place, they do not need anyone to propel them. They can be launched and have the necessary space to start flying.

However, if this is the first time you are going to do it, it will not be easy for the chick. But in verse 11 it said that he grabs them and carries them on his feathers. That is, the adult eagle sees that its chick will not be able to take flight, it plummets, it gets under the chick and puts it on its feathers, on its body, saving its life.

What a beautiful comparison Jehovah makes. He, like the eagle, is always ready to help us in moments where it seems that we are going to end our existence, but in a loving way he is ready to help us at the precise moment.

Therefore, Jehovah always protects his people as an eagle protects its young. What a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics! And what about the composer, Jehovah God. This teaches us, brethren, that we, when conveying the good news to people, do not have to think of great things to impact Jehovah's teaching.

We have spoken of the dew on the grass, of a rock, or of the eagles and their chicks. Normal things in life. From there we can draw those good comparisons when teaching this good news. Jehovah, the best composer. Deuteronomy 32 has a beautiful song. Here Jehovah is teaching us how we can pass the truth on to others and we want to continue to do so. A song that impacts us for many centuries now.

Let us do our best to imitate Jehovah, to imitate the great Master Jesus and ourselves to transmit this truth so that other disciples of Christ also become teachers to carry this good news.

We want people to understand that God is called Jehovah and that he will always be ready to help and protect us. But above all, we learn that teaching, the simpler it is, the more it will impact the hearts of the listeners.
