Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2021

Do not prophesy in the name of Jehovah or you will die at our hands (Jer. 11:21).

For at least forty years, Jeremiah lived surrounded by disloyal people, including his neighbors and perhaps some relatives from his hometown of Anathoth (Jer. 12: 6). But it was not isolated. In fact, he confided to his loyal secretary, Baruch, his feelings, which have been recorded and have come down to us (Jer. 8:21; 9: 1; 20: 14-18; 45: 1). Surely the moments they spent together while Baruch wrote down everything that had happened to Jeremiah caused them to come to feel great love and respect for one another (Jer. 20: 1, 2; 26: 7-11) . Jeremiah had boldly warned the Israelites of what would happen to Jerusalem (Jer. 25: 3). In a further attempt to motivate the people to repent, Jehovah told Jeremiah to write his warnings on a scroll (Jer. 36: 1-4). He and Baruch collaborated shoulder to shoulder probably for several months to carry out this task that God had entrusted to them. No doubt they had conversations during that time that strengthened their faith. w19.11 2, 3 pars. 3. 4

According to Proverbs 27:17, what can happen when we preach with our brothers?

As in the case of Jeremiah and Baruch, when we preach with our brothers and observe their good qualities, we learn from them and our friendship grows closer (read Proverbs 27:17). For example, if we go into the ministry with a brother and hear him boldly defend his faith or speak with full conviction of Jehovah and his promises, we are likely to feel more affection for him.

Give an example of how Christians go out preaching together.

Let's look at two cases that show us how it unites Christians to go out and preach together. Adeline is a 23-year-old sister who asked her friend Candice to go together to a territory where people rarely preach. Adeline recounts: “We wanted to feel more motivated and enjoy preaching more. We both needed to recharge our spiritual batteries. " How did preaching together benefit you? Adeline responds: “At the end of the day, we talked about how we felt, how we had been encouraged by the conversations we had had with people, and how we had seen Jehovah's guidance. We both loved having these deep conversations, and we got to know each other even better. "

Laïla and Marianne are two single sisters from France who went to preach for five weeks in Bangui, the bustling capital of the Central African Republic. Laïla recalls: “Marianne and I had some problems, but thanks to good communication and sincere affection our friendship grew stronger. My admiration for her increased when I saw her flexibility, her love for the people of the country, and her enthusiasm for ministry. " It is not necessary for us to go to another country to have these benefits. Every time we go out to preach in the territory of our congregation with a brother or a sister, we have the opportunity to get to know them better and to strengthen our friendship.
