APLPLY YOUR SELFTO THE FIELD MINISTRY: June 19-25, 2021, First Conversation, Lesson .3 assignment prepared.

First Conversation (3 min.): Use the ideas for discussion. Then offer the person a magazine that talks about a topic they have mentioned (th lec. 3).

PUBLISHER: Good morning, today we are talking with all the people about an interesting question, Is suffering is a punishment from God?

HOUSEHOLDER: I don't think so, because the Bible itself says that God is love.

PUBLISHER: Your answer is very good and it is true, but there are people who say that when we have problems it is because God is punishing us for something we have committed, in fact, what would you say to that way of thinking?

HOUSEHOLDER: Well, I have listened to people who think that God punishes them in a certain way.

PUBLISHER: Yes, you might think that Jehovah punishes us but in the Bible we find a statement that James made, here in James 1:13, please read it.

HOUSEHOLDER: Well, it says ...

PUBLISHER: Thanks for reading, in a part of the verse it says that God cannot be put to the test, is that so?

HOUSEHOLDER: Sure, no one can put God to the test.

PUBLISHER: Right, and if we keep reading what this verse says, what else is impossible for Jehovah God?

HOUSEHOLDER: That he doesn't test people either.

PUBLISHER: Right, and then we see that God is incapable of putting tests through suffering, and if God is not the cause of suffering, then why do we suffer? Does it seem okay if another day the Bible tells you?

HOUSEHOLDER: Sounds good to me.

PUBLISHER: Good, taking advantage I want to leave you in your mailbox a return visit about something we talked about the other day, do you remember what it is about?

HOUSEHOLDER: Yes, we talked about what we can expect from the future.

PUBLISHER: That's right, the uncertainty that it will happen tomorrow has become more frequent due to the many situations we have gone through, that is why this magazine THE WATCHTOWER is entitled What does the future hold? serve a lot.

HOUSEHOLDER: Don't worry, I'll read it.
