APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, July 6-12, 2026, Start conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making disciples: a work of love, Lesson 1, point 5). Assignment Prepared.

Start conversations (3 mins.) HOUSE TO HOUSE. Use a tract to start a conversation (lmd lesson 1 point 5).

Setting: During house-to-house witnessing, the publisher starts a conversation with a housewife and offers her a tract. When discussing the question “Will we ever live without sadness or pain?”, the woman expresses that it seems impossible for suffering to ever disappear. Using the Bible, the publisher shows her God’s promise to eliminate death, crying, pain, and sorrow.

Publisher: Hello, good morning. How are you this morning?

Assistant: Good morning. Thank God, very well. And you?

Publisher: Very well, thank you. I just wanted to leave you this treatise. It's very short and contains a message that has encouraged many people.

Assistant: Thank you. What's it about?

Publisher: If you look at the front page, you'll see a very interesting question: "Will we ever live without sadness or pain?" Let me ask you something: with everything we see in the news today, do you think that will ever be possible?

Assistant: Honestly, I don't believe it. Every day there's more violence, disease, and economic problems. It seems like suffering will always exist.

Publisher: I understand why you think that way. Many people feel the same. However, this tract presents a very different promise, a promise that comes from God. Here on the cover is a passage from the Bible. Could you please read Revelation 21:4?

Assistant: Of course. It says: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Publisher: Thank you very much. According to that verse, what things does God promise to completely eliminate?

Assistant: Well, death, pain, crying... and sadness.

Publisher: Exactly. And that's a very different promise from any solution humans can offer. Now, many people think that will happen in heaven. Do you believe that too?

Assistant: Yes, because here on Earth that seems impossible.

Publisher: It's a very common idea. But notice one detail in the verse. It says that "death will be no more." Let me ask you a question: Has death ever existed in heaven?

Assistant: No, not that I know of.

Publisher: That's right. So if death is going to disappear, it would make more sense for that change to happen here, where people actually die, right?

Assistant: Yes, seen that way, it seems to be talking about Earth.

Publisher: Exactly. The Bible teaches that God has the power to end death and all suffering right here on Earth. And this tract explains why we can be sure that He will fulfill that promise.

If it's alright with you, you could come back next Saturday. In just a few minutes, we can analyze the other biblical text that appears in the tract and see why God gives us that hope.

Assistant: Yes, that sounds good to me. You can come back next Saturday.

Publisher: Thank you so much for your time. Have a wonderful day.
