Let us examine the Scriptures every day 2026

He will judge the inhabited earth with justice and the peoples with his faithfulness (Psalm 96:13).
How will Jehovah soon glorify his name? By bringing justice through his judgments. He will soon destroy Babylon the Great for defiling his holy name (Rev. 17:5, 16; 19:1, 2). Some of those who witness the destruction of false religion may choose to worship Jehovah along with us. Then, at Armageddon, Jehovah will destroy Satan’s entire system. He will eliminate all those who hate him and defile his name, but he will save all those who love him, obey him, and take pride in giving him glory (Mark 8:38; 2 Thess. 1:6-10).
After Christ’s Thousand Year Reign, when the final test has concluded, Jehovah will have completely sanctified his name (Rev. 20:7-10). At that time, “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah’s glory as the waters cover the sea” (Hab. 2:14). How wonderful it will be when the whole world gives Jehovah the glory his name deserves! w25.01 7 pars. 15, 16
According to Psalm 96:9, what should we do to give glory to Jehovah?
(Read Psalm 96:9.) We can glorify Jehovah by our conduct. Jehovah’s priests had to wash and be clean when they served at the tabernacle and the temple (Ex. 40:30-32). We too strive to be physically clean, but what is most important is that we lead a clean life in God’s eyes (Ps. 24:3, 4; 1 Pet. 1:15, 16). We must make every effort to put off “the old personality” and put on “the new personality.” In other words, we abandon bad attitudes and unclean practices and learn to think and act in a way that reflects Jehovah’s beautiful qualities (Col. 3:9, 10). With God’s help, even the most immoral and violent people can change and put on the new personality.
What does Jack's case teach us?
Let's consider the case of Jack, a violent and very dangerous man nicknamed "The Devil." Because of his crimes, he was sentenced to death. However, while awaiting his execution, he agreed to study the Bible with a brother who visited the prison. Despite everything he had done in the past, Jack changed, and in time he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. His transformation was so profound that on the day of his execution, some of the guards said goodbye to him with tears in their eyes.
A sergeant who worked there said: “Before, Jack was the worst prisoner we had. But now he’s one of the best.” The week after the execution, the brothers who returned to conduct the weekly meeting at the prison noticed a prisoner who had never attended before. Why did he decide to go that day? Because he was very impressed with Jack’s change and wanted to know what he had to do to worship Jehovah. Clearly, our conduct can bring glory to our heavenly Father. (1 Pet. 2:12)
What are you determined to do?
How wonderful it will be when the whole world gives Jehovah the glory his name deserves! While we wait for that day, we can take advantage of every opportunity to give glory to our God. To highlight this vital responsibility, the Governing Body has chosen Psalm 96:8 as the yeartext for 2025: “Give Jehovah the glory his name deserves.”
