APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, June 1-7, 2026, Start conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making disciples: a work of love, Lesson 2, point 5). Assignment Prepared.

Start conversations (3 mins.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. Begin by talking about a current topic, but then show the person what the Bible says about a subject that interests them more (lmd lesson 2 point 5).

Setting: During house-to-house witnessing, the publisher initiates a conversation with a person about personal safety and how crime affects people's peace of mind. The person also expresses concern about the healthcare system, having visited several hospitals without receiving a clear diagnosis. The publisher demonstrates empathy and uses a Bible text to show that God promises a future free from sickness and suffering.

Publisher: Hello, good afternoon. It's great to find you.

Assistant: Hello, good afternoon

Publisher: My name is [Name], and we're talking to people about a topic that's very concerning these days: personal safety. With so much news about violence and crime, many people are afraid to even walk down the street without worry. Do you think the day will ever come when we can walk at night and truly feel safe?

Assistant: Honestly, I don't think so. Things are getting worse all the time, and not just because of the insecurity. The healthcare system is also very complicated. Lately, I've had several health problems and have been going from one hospital to another, but the doctors still don't know exactly what's wrong with me. It's really worrying me.

Publisher: I'm so sorry to hear that. It must be very difficult to go through something like that. Many people today feel tired and worried about everything they're experiencing. But something that gives me great peace is knowing that God fully understands our suffering and promises that these difficulties won't last forever.

In fact, I would like to share with you a very beautiful promise that appears in the Bible, in Isaiah 33:24. It says: “And no inhabitant will say, ‘I am sick.’ The people who live in this land will be forgiven for their sin.”

What do you think when you hear these words?

Assistant: Honestly, it would be wonderful. Imagining a world without disease or suffering seems like a dream, because these days you hear so much bad news that it's hard to believe.

Publisher: It's true, today it may seem impossible. However, what's interesting is that this text doesn't simply speak of better treatments or medicines, but of a complete cure. It says that no one will say, "I am sick." That demonstrates God's desire and power to definitively end human suffering. And knowing this helps us maintain hope even amidst our current problems.

Assistant: Yes, hearing something like that does bring a bit of relief and peace of mind.

Publisher: I'm so glad to hear that. The Bible contains many promises that can give us peace and hope in difficult times. And perhaps you're wondering, "When will God fulfill this promise, and how will He do it?"

Assistant: Yes, that's exactly what one would like to know. When are things going to change?

Publisher: If it's alright with you, I'd like to come back another time to show you what the Bible says about that question. We could talk next week and discuss it in detail. Would you like that?

Assistant: Yes, of course. That sounds great. Thank you for your visit and for sharing these words with me.
