Accept my discipline instead of silver, and knowledge instead of the finest gold (Prov. 8:10).

Meditation will help you continue to learn more about the love that Jehovah and Jesus Christ have for us. Perhaps you could read one or more Gospels during this year’s Memorial season. Try not to cover too much information at once, but take your time to look for more reasons to love Jehovah and Jesus.

If you have been in the truth for many years, you may wonder if it is possible to continue discovering new details about such familiar topics as God’s justice, his love, and the ransom. But the truth is, with these kinds of topics, one never stops learning. So take advantage of all the information in our publications. w25.01 24, 25 pars. 13-15

Why should we continue to seek the treasures that are in the Bible?

Don't be discouraged if you don't always learn something new or exciting when you sit down to read or study the Bible. In a sense, studying the Bible is like panning for gold. Many people spend hours, even days, searching for gold. They are patient and persistent because, for them, even the smallest nugget is valuable. The treasures we find in the Bible are far more valuable than gold (Psalm 119:127; Proverbs 8:10). So be patient and keep reading and studying the Bible (Psalm 1:2).

How can we imitate Jehovah and Jesus?

As you study, look for ways to apply what you learn. For example, you can imitate Jehovah’s justice by treating others fairly. And you can imitate Jesus’ love for his Father and for people by being willing to suffer for God’s name, helping brothers even when it involves sacrifice, and preaching so that others may have the opportunity to benefit from the extraordinary gift of the ransom.

What will we see in the next article?

The more we understand and appreciate the ransom, the more we will love Jehovah and his Son. And then they will love us even more (John 14:21; James 4:8). So let us take advantage of everything Jehovah gives us to continue learning about the ransom. In the next article, we will analyze how the ransom benefits us and what we can do to show our gratitude for this expression of Jehovah’s love.
