APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, September 1-7, 2025, Start Conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making Disciples: A Work of Love, Lesson 3, point 3). Prepared Assignment.
Start Conversations (4 min.) DOOR TO DOOR. Start a conversation with Watchtower 2025 No. 1. Then, when the person expresses interest in another topic, talk about what interests you (LMD lesson 3, point 3).
Setting: During his house-to-house ministry, the publisher begins a conversation with a person using Watchtower No. 1 of 2025. The person expresses concern about today's world and how to properly raise their children. The publisher offers comfort and hope through biblical principles.
Publisher: Hello, my name is [name].
Assistant: Hello, [name]. My name is [name]. How may I help you?
Publisher: Today I am talking to everyone, sharing some very important information.
Assistant: Yes, I'm listening to you carefully, [name].
Publisher: Well, [name], have you ever asked yourself these questions, which are here in this Watchtower magazine? Why are there so many wars if everyone wants peace? Is it possible to feel true peace in a world filled with violence? Will there ever be a day when there will be no more wars?
These are questions that many people ask themselves and that can generate a lot of anxiety and worry.
Assistant: Yes, absolutely. There are wars and conflicts everywhere, and it's something that worries me a lot.
Publisher: What the Bible says on this matter will surprise you and, no doubt, give you great peace. The Bible offers a unique and comforting perspective on peace and hope for a future without war.
Assistant: Although I am concerned about wars, there is something that concerns me even more on a personal level.
Publisher: What are you so worried about, [name]?
Assistant: What worries me most is parenting. We live in such an uncertain and challenging world, and I'm worried about how to raise my children to be good, strong people, capable of facing all these problems and still being kind.
Publisher: Oh, I understand, [name]. It's true that raising children in this world can be a huge challenge, but it's also an incredible opportunity to teach them important values and help them grow into compassionate and responsible people.
But a Bible verse comes to mind, right here in Proverbs 22:6, which says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and he will not depart from it when he is old.” Don’t you think that’s very relevant to parenting?
Assistant: Yes, absolutely, [name]. I love that verse. I'd like my children to grow up knowing how to love, how to be empathetic toward others. That's a comforting promise.
Publisher: In the Bible, we find many promises that give us hope and help us raise our children in a way that allows them to grow into strong and caring individuals. Perhaps I'll come back to this topic later, if you'd like.
Assistant: Sure, [name]. Come back Tuesday. And thanks for sharing that with me.
Publisher: You're welcome, [name]. I'm glad I was able to talk about this with you. I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday so we can continue the conversation.
