Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2025

Oh, you who love Jehovah, hate what is evil. He protects the lives of those who are faithful to him and rescues them from the hands of the wicked (Ps. 97:10).

We should minimize our exposure to the harmful ideas that are so popular in Satan’s world. To protect our minds and fill them with wholesome thoughts, we need to read and study the Bible, attend church meetings, and participate in the ministry. Jehovah promises that he will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. (1 Cor. 10:12, 13) To remain faithful in these difficult last days, we need to pray more than ever. Jehovah wants us to pour out our hearts to him. (Ps. 62:8) Let us praise him and thank him for all he does. Let us ask him to give us courage to preach and to help us face problems and resist any temptation that may come our way. Let us not let anything or anyone prevent us from continuing to pray to Jehovah. w23.05 7 pars. 17, 18.

Besides praying, what should we do to resist temptations?

We cannot fight temptations alone; we need Jehovah to help us. Jesus included the following request in his model prayer: “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” (Matt. 6:13) Jehovah wants to help us, but we have to ask for it. However, it is not enough to pray. We must do our part and minimize our exposure to the harmful ideas that are so popular in Satan’s world. (Ps. 97:10) To protect our minds and fill them with wholesome thoughts, we need to read and study the Bible, attend church meetings, and participate in the preaching work. Jehovah promises that he will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. (1 Cor. 10:12, 13)

What do we all have to do?

To remain faithful in these difficult last days, we need to pray more than ever. Jehovah wants us to pour out our hearts to him (Ps. 62:8). So take time to pray to him from your heart every day. Praise him and thank him for all he does. Ask him to give you courage to preach and to help you face problems and resist any temptation that may come your way. Don't let anything or anyone prevent you from continuing to pray to Jehovah. But how does he answer our prayers? The next article will address this very important point.
