APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, July 14-20, 2025, Start Conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making Disciples: A Work of Love, Lesson 5, point 4). Prepared Assignment.

Start conversations (3 mins.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (lmd lesson 5 point 4).

Setting: The publisher is preaching from house to house when he encounters a young woman who has begun to read the Bible but has doubts about certain topics. The publisher listens attentively to her concerns and offers a Bible study as a tool for better understanding the Scriptures.

Publisher: Good morning, my name is [Name], and I'm visiting the neighbors to share a brief Bible message. Would you be interested in listening for a moment?

Assistant: Well, all right. I just started reading the Bible this week.

Publisher: How wonderful! Congratulations on that. I'd like to share a Bible passage that reminded me of what you mentioned. What do you think?

Assistant: Yes, of course. Read it to me.

Publisher: (Open your Bible to Matthew 5:3 and read) Here in Matthew 5:3 it says, “Blessed are those who recognize their spiritual needs, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.” This text shows how important it is to recognize and meet our spiritual needs, as you are doing by reading the Bible. What do you think?

Assistant: I like it, but sometimes I don't understand certain parts of the Bible and I skip over them. I don't want to stop reading it, because if I do, when I die I'll go to hell.

Publisher: I understand. It's great that you want to keep reading despite the difficulties. Would you like me to help you understand the Bible better?

Assistant: Yes, that would be good.

Publisher: (Take out the book Enjoy Life Forever!) Perfect! We have a free Bible course that can help you a lot. We use this book, Enjoy Life Forever!, which is entirely based on the Bible. We read it together, discuss the topics, and answer simple questions. We can use your own Bible to look up the texts it cites. What do you think of this idea?

Assistant: Sounds good. The more I learn about the Bible, the better, because my grandmother says if I don't read it, I'll go to hell or my soul will be lost. That has me a little scared.

Publisher: I understand how you feel. These topics can be very worrying. Look, there's a topic in the book that might help clarify your doubts: Is there life after death? (shows the topic in the book). I think starting with this topic would be ideal to see what the Bible says about it. Would you like to start the course with it?

Assistant: Yes, I'd love to. I'm very interested in that topic.

Publisher: Great! We can start next week. What day works for you?

Assistant: Monday afternoon.

Publisher: Perfect! I'll be here on Monday. Thanks for chatting, have a nice day.

Assistant: Thanks, [Name]. See you Monday.
