Speech (3 mins.) lmd appendix A point 11. Title: God has an important message for us (th lesson 6).
Have you ever wondered if God wants to communicate with us today? The answer is yes. In fact, God has already left us an important and personal message. We find it in His Word, the Bible.
Let's see how the Bible itself confirms it.
LET'S READ 2 TIMOTHY 3:16, 17
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, rebuking, setting things right, and training in what is right, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped and thoroughly furnished for every good work.”
What does this text teach us? First, that the entire Bible is inspired by God, not by human ideas. And second, that it has a purpose: to help us improve, live justly, and be prepared to do what is right.
This shows us that God not only wanted to speak to us in the past, but also wants to guide us today. Every piece of advice in the Bible comes directly from Him. But can we be sure that the biblical writers truly spoke on behalf of God and not on their own? Let's look at another piece of evidence.
LET'S READ 2 PETER 1:20, 21
“For you know first of all that no prophecy of Scripture comes from a person’s own interpretation. 21For no prophecy was ever made by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
This text gives us additional assurance. It tells us that no biblical writer wrote on their own initiative, but rather it was God himself who guided them through his Holy Spirit.
Therefore, the Bible is not just another religious book. It is a message carefully prepared by our Creator to speak to us with love, to warn us, to encourage us, and to teach us how to live well.
Brothers and sisters, we have seen today that God truly has an important message for us. It is not just any message: it is inspired by Him, faithfully transmitted through men moved by the Holy Spirit, and specifically designed to equip us for every good work.
The questions we have left are: Are we listening to the message God has for us? Are we reading His Word regularly?
Let us not allow this important message to remain unread on our tables or bookshelves. Let us open our Bibles every day and listen to what our Heavenly Father wants to tell us.
