APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, July 7-13, 2025, Start Conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making Disciples: A Work of Love, Lesson 3, point 3). Prepared Assignment.

Start conversations (3 mins.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (lmd lesson 3 point 3).

Setting: The publisher is preaching from house to house when he encounters a woman who initially doesn't want to speak because she feels discouraged. However, by showing empathy, the publisher gets the woman to share his concerns and offers her a comforting biblical message.

Publisher(s): Good morning! My name is [Name]. I'm visiting the neighbors to share a short, positive message from the Bible. How are you feeling today?

Assistant: Oh, look, miss, I really don't feel like talking. I apologize.

Publisher(s): I understand you perfectly, ma'am. There are so many worries these days... Sometimes you feel powerless and drained of energy. Believe me, I don't want to upset you.

Assistant: I went to the doctor this week, and they sent me for some tests because they think I might have a serious illness. I haven't stopped thinking about it since. I'm so worried... I don't even know how to react.

Publisher(s): I'm so sorry to hear that, ma'am, I really am. It's normal to feel that way when faced with news like this. Many people go through moments filled with uncertainty. And you know what? The Bible has some very beautiful messages, meant for people who feel just like you.

Assistant: Really? I hadn't thought of that...

Publisher(s): Yes, look at this text in Psalm 34:18. It says: ‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in despair.’

Assistant: How wonderful... I hadn't thought about reaching out to God with all this going on. I've been anxious, mulling over everything, but I didn't think God was so close to people like me.

Publisher(s): I'm glad this text made you think. Jehovah understands how you feel and wants to give you peace and strength, even in times like this. And you know what? There's a very nice publication that talks about exactly how the Bible can help us overcome difficult situations like yours.

Assistant: I'd really like to read something like that. Could you bring it to me?

Publisher(s): Of course. If that's okay with you, I can stop by tomorrow and I'll be happy to bring it to you.

Assistant: Yes, I'd love to. I'm home right now. I'll wait for you then.

Publisher(s): Perfect, it was a pleasure talking to you. See you tomorrow. Take care of yourself and remember you're not alone.

Assistant: Thank you, [Name]. Have a nice day.
