1, 2. a) Why can we say that we are never alone in our problems?

We can say that we are never alone in our problems, because Jehovah, our heavenly Father, is always with us. He sees what we are suffering and has promised to be by our side. As He says in Isaiah 41:10, He lovingly assures us: “I will help you.”

1, 2. b) What will we see in this article?

In this article, we will look at four ways Jehovah helps us:

1. It guides us.

2. It covers our needs.

3. It protects us.

4. It comforts us.

JEHOVAH GUIDES US

3, 4. How does Jehovah guide us? (Psalm 48:14)

Jehovah guides us through his Word, the Bible. In it, we find wise principles that help us make good decisions and develop qualities such as forgiveness, honesty, and love. Furthermore, Bible accounts show us that others also faced difficulties and, with Jehovah's help, were able to overcome them.

5. Who does Jehovah use to guide us?

Jehovah guides us through our brothers, including circuit overseers, who strengthen our faith and unity with their talks; elders, who care for our spiritual well-being; parents, who teach their children to love God and make good decisions; and older sisters, who set an example and counsel for younger ones. In this way, we see that Jehovah uses our brothers to provide direction and support in our daily lives.

6. What should we do to benefit from Jehovah’s guidance?

To benefit from Jehovah's guidance, we must fully trust in Him and not rely solely on our own understanding. As Proverbs 3:5, 6 says, by doing so, He straightens our path, helps us avoid trouble, and guides us toward true happiness. This demonstrates our gratitude for His love and personalized guidance.

7. How does Jehovah help us according to Philippians 4:19?

Jehovah helps us by meeting our needs, just as Philippians 4:19 says: “God will supply all your needs according to his glorious riches.” He blesses us by giving us the essentials, such as food, clothing, and a place to live, as long as we seek his Kingdom first. Although it is natural to worry about our physical needs, Jehovah assures us that we should not be anxious, because he will never abandon his faithful servants.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

An important point here is that Jehovah cares not only for our spiritual well-being, but also for our daily needs. This reflects his practical love and constant care. By trusting in him and making him a priority, we experience how he fulfills his promise to provide for our needs.

8. How did Jehovah help David?

Jehovah helped David as he fled from King Saul, providing everything he and his men needed to survive during those difficult years. David acknowledged this provision when he wrote in Psalm 37:25 that he never saw a righteous man abandoned or his children seeking bread, showing that Jehovah lovingly met his needs.

9. How does Jehovah provide for the needs of his people today when disasters strike? (See also the pictures.)

Jehovah today meets the needs of his people during disasters by inspiring the generosity and organization of other members of the congregation. For example, they send supplies such as food, water, clothing, and medicine to affected areas; they help repair damaged homes and Kingdom Halls; and they provide emotional and spiritual support to those who have suffered losses.

How does Jehovah comfort us when disasters occur? (See paragraph 9.)

10, 11. What does Boris's case teach you?

Boris's case teaches us that by showing love and selfless help to people who do not share our beliefs, we can bear a good witness about Jehovah. Although Boris was not a Witness, the brothers helped him during the war, which led him to feel gratitude and attend the Memorial. This shows how imitating Jehovah's mercy can motivate others to want to know and serve him.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

A key point is that our actions speak louder than words. By helping Boris, the brothers reflected Jehovah's love in practical ways, touching his heart. JEHOVAH PROTECTS US

12. What has Jehovah promised to do for his people as a whole? (Psalm 91:1, 2, 14)

Jehovah has promised to protect his people spiritually, as stated in Psalm 91:1, 2, 14. He will never allow Satan to corrupt pure worship, and we are confident that he will fulfill his promise to protect his people both spiritually and physically during the great tribulation.

13. In what ways does Jehovah protect each of his servants?

Jehovah protects each of his servants in various ways. On the one hand, he has given us the Bible to help us distinguish between good and evil, which acts as a shield that protects us physically and spiritually. On the other hand, he protects us through the congregation, by surrounding us with brothers who love and obey Jehovah, who encourage and strengthen us to reject evil influences.

14. (a) Why doesn’t Jehovah always remove our trials?

Jehovah doesn't always remove our trials, because he allows us to face difficulties to prove Satan a liar. Although he sometimes allows his servants to suffer persecution or even death, this has a purpose: to refute Satan's accusations and show that humans can remain loyal to God under any circumstances.

14. b) What does Psalm 9:10 assure us? (See also the note.)

Psalm 9:10 assures us that Jehovah will never abandon those who love him. Even when we face trials or suffering, we can fully trust that he will always be with us and fulfill his promise of unwavering support.

JEHOVAH COMFORT US

15. How does Jehovah comfort us through prayer, his Word, and our brothers and sisters? (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4)

Jehovah comforts us through prayer, giving us “the peace of God that surpasses all human understanding.” Through the Bible, we see his great love, receive wise counsel, and find comfort in the hope he offers. Furthermore, in meetings and with our fellow believers, we experience his comfort through his loving kindness and words of encouragement based on God’s Word.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

An important detail is that Jehovah does not leave us alone when we face difficult times. He uses these means to strengthen our hearts and help us cope with distress. By taking advantage of prayer, studying the Bible, and participating in meetings, we can tangibly feel his support and comfort.

16. What does the case of Nathan and Priscilla teach you?

The story of Nathan and Priscilla teaches us that even when we face unexpected problems and things don't go as expected, Jehovah never abandons us. Despite the financial and health difficulties they faced, reading the Bible gave them comfort and encouragement, feeling that Jehovah was speaking to them as a friend. They learned to focus not on the problem, but on how Jehovah was helping them endure it, which better prepared them for future trials.

This story highlights the power of God's Word to comfort us in the midst of difficulties. Even though circumstances may cause us to doubt or question, the Bible always reminds us that Jehovah is with us and strengthens us.

17. How did a sister named Helga receive comfort? (See also the pictures.)

Helga received comfort through the congregation, as 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 assures us. Despite decades of problems that left her feeling depressed and without self-worth, Jehovah always kept his promise to comfort her. Many times, her brothers strengthened her with kind, loving, and thoughtful words, sending messages, cards, or praise just when she needed them most. This helped her cope with difficult situations.

18. How can we comfort others?

We can comfort by listening patiently, offering words of encouragement based on the Bible, and providing practical help. This applies to both our brothers and sisters and those who do not serve Jehovah, visiting and encouraging them in times of difficulty, illness, or loss. In this way, we help our brothers endure their trials and can motivate others to come to know Jehovah.

A key point here is that comfort doesn't always require grand actions, but rather small, sincere gestures. Listening attentively or sharing a timely Bible passage can make a huge difference in someone's life.

JEHOVAH WILL ALWAYS BE BY OUR SIDE

Jehovah cares deeply for us and never abandons us in difficult times. He guides us, meets our needs, protects us, and comforts us, just as a good father cares for his child. We can imitate him by supporting and encouraging others who face trials, showing the same love and compassion he shows us.

How does it protect and comfort us?

Jehovah protects us by giving us the Bible, which acts as a shield to defend us spiritually and physically, and through the congregation, which surrounds us with people who love and obey God.

He comforts us through prayer, responding to us with his peace; through his Word, which offers us encouragement and hope; and through our brothers and sisters, who offer us words of encouragement and practical support in difficult times.
