Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2025

The person faithful in what is least is also faithful in much, and the person unjust in what is least is also unjust in much (Luke 16:10).

If you are a trustworthy young man, you will diligently fulfill all your responsibilities. Think of Jesus' perfect example. He was never careless or irresponsible. On the contrary, he did everything Jehovah commanded him, even when it was difficult. He loved people, especially his disciples, and was willing to give his life for them (John 13:1).

Like him, do your best to accomplish any task assigned to you. If you don't know how to do it, be humble and ask a mature brother for help. Never settle for the bare minimum (Rom. 12:11). Rather, finish everything assigned to you; do it "for the Lord and not for men" (Col. 3:23). Of course, you are not perfect, so be modest and acknowledge your mistakes (Prov. 11:2).

Why should a young brother learn practical skills?

To become a mature Christian, you need to learn certain practical skills. These skills will help you assume responsibilities in the congregation, find and keep a job that allows you to cover your expenses or those of your family, and get along well with others. Let's look at some of them.

Why is it good for a young brother and for the congregation that he learn to read and write well? (Psalm 1:1-3)

Learn to read and write well. The Bible says that a happy and successful person reads God's Word every day and meditates on it (read Psalm 1:1-3). This helps him understand Jehovah's thoughts, and this helps him reason and think clearly (Prov. 1:3, 4). Such people are needed in the congregation. Why?

Brothers and sisters need the help of men who can teach them and give them sound advice from the Bible (Titus 1:9). If you know how to read and write well, you will be able to prepare interesting talks and commentaries that will strengthen the faith of others. Furthermore, when you study and listen to talks at meetings and conventions, you will be able to take notes that will strengthen your own faith and encourage other brothers and sisters.
