APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: June 23-29, 2025, Speech: God Has a Name, Lesson 20, Prepared Assignment.

Speech (5 mins.) lmd appendix A point 10. Title: God has a name (th lesson 20).

Brothers and sisters, have you ever thought about how special it is to know the name of someone important? Today we're going to talk about something even more significant: God has a name. He's not just "God" or "Lord"; He has a personal name that invites us to know Him better.

I invite you to join me in reading Psalm 83:18, which says: “Let people know that your name is Jehovah, that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.” This verse reveals to us that God’s name is Jehovah, and that He is the supreme sovereign.

Let's see why it's so important to know and use your name, and how we can do this in our lives.

First, knowing God's name brings us closer to Him.

Imagine receiving a letter from someone who doesn't identify themselves. Would you feel close to that person? Probably not. But when someone tells you their name, you feel a connection. The same thing happens with God. He tells us in the Bible that his name is Jehovah because he wants us to know him as a friend.

For example, when we pray using His name, our prayers become more personal, as if we were speaking to someone very close to us. This strengthens our faith and gives us the confidence to approach Him at any time.

Second, using God's name shows that we recognize him as the true God.

Let’s read together Jeremiah 10:10, which says: “But the Lord is the true God. He is the living God and the eternal King. Because of his wrath, the earth will shake, and no nation will be able to withstand his fury.”

This text reminds us that Jehovah is not just one God among many. He is the Creator, the only one worthy of our worship. When we use his name, we declare to the world that we recognize his authority.

For example, when we preach and talk about Jehovah, we help others understand who the true God is and why it is important to draw close to Him.

So how can we apply this? It's simple: Let's use Jehovah's name with respect and love.

In our prayers, let us mention his name to express our gratitude and trust.

In our preaching, let us boldly share that Jehovah is the true God, explaining how his name represents hope for the future.

And in our daily lives, let us live in a way that honors that name, displaying qualities like love, justice, and mercy, which reflect who Jehovah is.
