How can Jehovah help us during an emergency?

During an emergency, Jehovah may not intervene miraculously, but he can give us inner strength and help us stay calm. Isaiah 30:15 reminds us that our strength comes from trusting in Him. If we pray sincerely, Jehovah can help us recall scriptures that give us comfort and clarity to make good decisions, even under pressure. This guidance can make the difference between fear and calm in critical moments.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Jehovah can help us by giving us peace and strength when we face difficult times. He guides us if we pray and trust in Him, and he gives us the courage to continue, even when things get tough. Furthermore, by studying the Bible, we better understand how to act and what to do to care for ourselves and others.

Jehovah also gives us wisdom to make good decisions when we're in danger, helping us stay calm and think clearly. Feeling that Jehovah is with us gives us hope, because we know we're not alone, even when the situation is difficult.

What things can we do to prepare?

In addition to the spiritual aspect, it's wise to have an emergency backpack ready with essential items, such as water, food, a first-aid kit, a Bible, and more. We should also review with our family what to do in different situations, keep our contact information with the elderly up to date, and follow local recommendations.

Preparing ourselves in this way allows us not only to take care of ourselves, but also to be in a position to help others. And if we volunteer now to help in relief efforts, Jehovah can use us to alleviate the suffering of our fellow human beings.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

We can prepare by stocking up on essential items like water, food, and medicine for use in an emergency. It's also good to have a family plan so you know how to communicate and where to find each other if you get separated. Preparing a kit with the basics and knowing what to do in each situation helps us be prepared and feel more at ease.

Practicing what to do in an emergency together as a family helps everyone know what to do and avoid panic. Educating ourselves about the types of emergencies that can occur in our area, such as earthquakes or floods, allows us to be better prepared for what may come.

In what ways can we help victims?

After an emergency, group overseers make sure to contact each member to find out how they are and what they need. We can help by sharing our circumstances, being available to help, and following any instructions they give us.

Even if the emergency occurs elsewhere, we can offer our services by filling out a volunteer application to let the branch know we are willing to help. In this way, we become a blessing to others, and Jehovah can use our willingness to alleviate the suffering of many.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

We can help victims by listening to them and offering support, whether it's helping them with practical things or simply being there to encourage them. We can also pray for them and support relief efforts, such as delivering food or medicine. Helping with kindness and respect makes a huge difference for those going through a difficult time.

Offering companionship and words of encouragement is very important, because sometimes what people need most is knowing someone cares about them. Participating in outreach activities organized by the congregation or community is a practical way to support many people in need.
