LIVING AS CHRISTIANS: August 26-September 1-2024, Let's learn from Philip the evangelizer. Video: Let's learn from them: Philip the evangelizer. Analysis and Answers.

Let's learn from Philip the evangelizer (15 mins.) Analysis with the audience.

Play the VIDEO Let's learn from them: Philip the evangelizer. Then ask what we learn from:

Philip's reaction when his circumstances changed unexpectedly (Acts 8:1, 4, 5).

Philip's reaction to the unexpected change in his circumstances, as mentioned in Acts 8:1,4,5, teaches us the importance of staying committed to God's work and being proactive in preaching, and even in the midst of adversity. Despite the persecution he faced, Philip moved from Samaria and continued to share the message of Christ, demonstrating that faith and dedication can flourish in any situation.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

We learn that in the same way if our circumstances change unexpectedly, such as if we lose our job, we can look for ways to expand our service to Jehovah and maintain a positive attitude.

We learn that Philip saw this difficult situation as an opportunity to do more for Jehovah; far from slowing down the work of the Kingdom, persecution contributes to extending it. This teaches us that changes are inevitable especially in this time of the end, whether we expect them or not or whether they are good or bad, changes can alter our worship and test our friendship with Jehovah, so we must strive to preach with zeal, even if circumstances change.

So Felipe's reaction to changing circumstances teaches us about the importance of adaptability, commitment, trust in God and the impact we can have in moving forward with our mission, even in difficult times.

The good results that Philip had for being willing to serve where more evangelizers were needed (Acts 8:6-8, 26-31, 34-40).

From the good results that Philip had for being willing to serve where more evangelizers were needed, according to Acts 8, we learn that the willingness to serve and respond to the needs of the moment can lead us to significant results in the work of God.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Philip, preaching in Samaria, not only saw many people accept the message and be baptized, but he was also used to guide the Ethiopian in his understanding of the scriptures, resulting in his conversion and baptism. This highlights the importance of being alert to opportunities to witness and acting with courage and faith, as God can use our actions to positively impact the lives of others.

The people who lived in Samaria had not yet heard the good news, therefore, for its inhabitants receiving the message was like breathing fresh air, and it is easy to understand why the Jews did not relate to the Samaritans and many even despised them. Furthermore, the Pharisees were very closed-minded and full of prejudices, but Philip was very different, he eagerly preached the good news to everyone equally, without making any class distinction, his zeal had good results, because everyone in the crowds paid a lot of attention. paid attention to what Philip was saying and many accepted the message and were baptized.

The blessings Philip and his family received for being hospitable (Acts 21:8-10).

The willingness of Felipe and his family to open their home to others reflects a spirit of generosity and love, since hospitality is a way of serving God and others, creating a welcoming environment.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

The arrival of servants of Jehovah to Philip's house indicates that his home was a place where teaching and spiritual guidance were valued. This teaches us that by being hospitable, we can attract people who will build us up and help us grow in our faith.

It teaches us that when we are hospitable we may invite brothers who are in full-time or circuit service, which can be, as the family said, spiritually edifying and perhaps helping us set other goals.

The blessings are that those moments greatly strengthened the spirituality of his daughters, there is no doubt that Felipe's attitude and example had a good effect on his daughters. From this we learn that there are many benefits in opening the door of our house to them, no matter how humble it may be.

Loving hospitality that may be limited to a simple meal, offers excellent opportunities to have an exchange of encouragement and show love to our brothers and God.

The happiness that the family in the video felt for following Felipe's example.

Well, we learn that truly giving our lives to Jehovah is our happiness, they lived it, they put it into practice, it does not mean that they had an easy life, because the husband lost his job and I said that it was very stressful and they would go through other difficulties, but The happiness they felt at being able to give their time to Jehovah is what motivated them the most and we can feel that same happiness giving our time to Jehovah.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

We learn that by being generous and hospitable to our brothers in faith, our faith will flourish, because their experiences will make us all stronger and will make us want to improve in a spiritual sense, as happened with this family.

Furthermore, the brother took advantage of an adverse situation, such as being unemployed, to preach at different times and visit more people.

They invited the superintendent and his wife to eat, and that strengthened their daughters and like Felipe, the brother was presented with challenges and changes. For example, he lost his job, but the brother saw it as an opportunity to do more in Jehovah's service. He could visit people at other times. They tried to take advantage of the new situation to preach with enthusiasm and had the happiness of seeing their daughters graduate from the School for Kingdom Evangelizers. This teaches us that we must stay focused on Ministry when circumstances change.

We could also see that when they were in the family study they seemed very happy to share, each one gave a different detail about Felipe's life and Ministry, and that made them able to do a self-examination, see how they could modify According to the circumstances that they were going through at the time that the father was out of work, everyone contributed, but they put it in a very positive way and adjusted their schedules and in the end you can see that he was in a very positive way.

We saw that each one investigated a part of Felipe's life, then shared it but they also saw the practical application that they themselves could put into it, that too, when we study we can also do that.
