Start conversations (3 mins.) INFORMAL PREACHING. Present and discuss a jw.org video in the person's preferred language, but do not play it (lmd lesson 1 point 4).

Situation: You are in a park and you see a man sitting on a bench, reading a book. As you get closer, you notice that he is reading in another language, perhaps an Asian language.

Publisher:   «Hello, good morning. My name is [Your Name]. His book caught my attention, it seems like he likes reading. I'm sharing an encouraging message from the Bible today. Would you like to hear a short verse that talks about peace and tranquility?

Assistant: (With a slight smile) «Good morning. Yes, of course, I would like to hear it. »

Publisher: « Thank you. This verse is from Psalm 55:22, where it says: 'this is a reminder that we can trust in God, especially when we face worries or difficulties.'

Assistant: (Nods) «That sounds very good. "I think it's important to have something to rely on."

Publisher:  «It's true. It gives many people comfort to know that they are not alone in their difficulties. By the way, I notice you are reading in [name of language]. "Is that your main language?"

Assistant: «Yes, it is. "I prefer to read in my native language."

Publisher: «I understand. I'm glad to know it. In fact, we have a video in your language that talks about what God is going to do in the future in [name of language]. Would you like to see it?

Helper: "Yes, I would love to see it in my language."

Publisher:  «Great, here it is. Then I give him the link so he can watch more videos in his language. You show the video in his language on your device or offer him a link to watch it later.) «I hope this video is helpful to you and if you have any questions or would like to talk more about these topics, I would be happy to talk to you.»

Assistant: «Thank you very much. I liked the video and I appreciate that you showed it to me in my language. »

Publisher: «I am very happy to hear it. Here is a link if you want to see more videos or read articles in [name of language]. Have a good day."
