Let us examine the scriptures every day 2024

Be transformed by renewing your mind, so that you may prove for yourselves what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Rom. 12:2).
How often do you clean your house? Perhaps before moving in he cleaned it thoroughly. But what would happen if I stopped cleaning it? As we know, dust and dirt would accumulate quickly. To keep the house presentable, you have to clean it frequently. We must do something similar with our thoughts and our personality. Of course, before we are baptized we strive to make the necessary changes in our lives and cleanse ourselves “from everything that defiles body and spirit” (2 Cor. 7:1). But now we have to obey this advice from the apostle Paul: “You must continue to renew your way of thinking” (Eph. 4:23). The “dirt” and “dust” of this world can quickly accumulate inside us. So that this does not happen to us and we are always presentable before Jehovah, we must frequently examine our thoughts, our personality, and our desires. w23.01 8 paras. 1, 2.
What does it mean to renew our mind? (Romans 12:2).
What do we have to do to renew our mind, that is, change our way of thinking? (Read Romans 12:2). It is not about doing a few good deeds to beautify our lives. Rather, we must examine our inner self and make the necessary changes so that our lives conform as closely as possible to Jehovah's standards. That is something we must do constantly, not just once.
What should we do so that this system does not influence our way of thinking?
When we are perfect, we will always be able to please Jehovah in everything. In the meantime, we have no choice but to fight to achieve that goal. Let's look at the relationship that the apostle Paul established in Romans 12:2 between renewing our mind and making sure of what God's will is. Instead of adopting a passive attitude and allowing ourselves to be shaped by this system, it is very important that we analyze ourselves to see to what degree God's way of thinking influences our goals and decisions.
How can we know what we think about how close the day of Jehovah is? (See images).
For example, our God wants us to be very attentive “to the presence of the day of the Lord” (2 Pet. 3:12). So, let's ask ourselves: “Do I see in my life that I really understand that the end of this system is very near? Do my decisions about education and work reflect that serving Jehovah is most important to me? Do I have faith that he will take care of my family and me, or am I always worried about material things?” Jehovah is very happy when he sees that we strive to live according to his will (Matt. 6:25-27, 33; Philip. 4:12, 13).
What should we continue doing?
We must constantly examine our way of thinking and get to work to make any changes that are necessary. Paul gave this advice to the Corinthian Christians: “Keep examining yourself to see if you are firm in the faith. Keep proving what yourselves are” (2 Cor. 13:5). Being “in the faith” is much more than attending meetings or participating in preaching from time to time. It also has to do with our way of thinking, our tendencies and our motives. So we need to continue renewing our minds by reading God's Word, learning to think as he thinks, and then correcting whatever is necessary to please him (1 Cor. 2:14-16).
