How can Brother Dugbe's experience help you when you are afraid?

This experience teaches us the importance of trusting Jehovah in his organization, when problems arise because we live in an unstable world with problems, wars and we can feel affected overnight. That is what happened to brother Dugbe who lived in a time where his family was well, but when the war broke out everything good disappeared, he mentioned in those critical moments were the prayer and help of the brothers, hence the importance to remain loyal to Jehovah at all times.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Brother Dugbe's experience can help us when we are afraid because he has gone through extremely difficult situations and has found a way to cope with them. Having lived in Monrovia during the Civil War, Dugbe knows what it is like to face chaos and insecurity.

His story of how his family lost everything and had to flee to survive, trusting in his friendship with Jehovah and the help of his brothers, inspires us to find strength in faith and also in the help of the congregation and to have that faith that We are going to receive that spiritual help that we need. By following his example of prayer and trust in Jehovah, we can learn to manage our own fears knowing that we are not alone and that there is always someone willing to help us.

It can help us a lot, since this brother went through really complicated situations, since he had to live in a time of armed conflict in his country, his life changed overnight and what helped him and his family or his friendship with Jehovah and prayer. So in the same way when we are afraid, let us take refuge in Jehovah and turn our feelings to him, let us ask him for guidance to know what we have to do.

And something else will help us take refuge in our brothers in the faith, since as this brother tells us, the brothers who welcomed him in the midst of this situation were very affectionate and made sure that they could continue with their spiritual activities.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: "WE CAN BE HAPPY DESPITE THE SWORD"

When your world collapses and everything around you is chaotic, the only thing you have left is your friendship with Jehovah. He called me Baie Michael Dugbe. I was born in Monrovia Liberia in 1980 before the war started, in Monrovia life was very good, I had wonderful parents, we lived in a very nice house and I went to a good school.

When I was 9 years old, everything changed overnight, on the news they said that a group of rebels wanted to carry out a coup d'état. Upon hearing this, people panicked, businesses began to close, they cut off basic services, no. There was no electricity, no water, everything stopped.

The following years were very unstable and in 1996 everything fell apart, war broke out again and the Rebels were in the city, there was a lot of looting everywhere, and the rebels tortured anyone who was not willing to join them, in Situations like these are very scary, people are terrified and when you are very scared the best thing you can do is pray pray to Jehovah, ask him to give you guidance to know what you have to do.

The conflict worsened and the area where we lived was no longer safe, we had to flee and in the end we took refuge in the branch, the Brothers were very affectionate with us and took good care of us, they made sure that we could continue with our activities spiritual.

When I think about everything that happened, I feel very grateful to be still alive, there are two things that helped us endure, first of all our friendship with Jehovah, which is the only thing that helps us maintain stability, and something that also helped us to survive was the help of the brothers, in situations like that, that's when you realize how much you need the brothers.

I work at Bethel in audio and video services and I am very happy with what I do. I love all the brothers I work with very much. Thanks to Jehovah I am alive and can serve him every day.
