APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: June 24-30, 2024, Speech: Love for Christ drives us to be brave., Lesson 18, Prepared Assignment.

Speech (5 mins.) w23.01 29, 30 paras. 12-14. Title: Love for Christ drives us to be brave. Use the image (th lesson 9).

Fear can paralyze anyone, there are children who when they see an insect are horrified and scream, they run away. Or you see a dog that appears to be very aggressive and dangerous, many run away.

But he has noticed that when that child grows up and becomes a father or mother, he becomes a very brave person when it comes to protecting and defending his children. What is the reason for this change from being a very fearful child to being a very brave adult? For the love of his family or his children.

We will talk about that in this speech with the title: "Love for Christ drives us to be brave." It is beautiful to recognize that in the story of John chapter 16 verses 32 and 33. Jesus clearly told his disciples that all his followers present and in the future they would be persecuted, but at the end of verse 33 he told them something very encouraging.

LET'S READ JOHN 16:32-33.

32 Listen to this. The hour is coming—in fact, it has already arrived—when they will be scattered. Each one will go to his own house and leave me alone.a Although I am not alone, because the Father is with me. 33 I have told you these things so that you may have peace through me.c In the world you are going to have suffering.*d But be brave! For I have overcome the world.”

"Be brave, I have conquered the world" and unfortunately many stop in their spiritual progress due to fear of what people will say.

Some do not take the step of being publishers or of being baptized by what they say or of identifying themselves at school, at work as a Jehovah's Witness or even of not going out to preach, knowing that it is the right thing to do.

If we observe in John chapter 19 verse 38 it speaks of Joseph of Arimathea, a very prominent man, but the Bible says of him after this, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, although secretly, because he was afraid of the Jews, he asked Pilate if he could take the body of Jesus and Pilate gave him permission, so he came and took the body.

This man, who the story says was at first a secret disciple of Jesus for fear of the Jews, finally gained courage and became brave. We have to be realistic, there are things that scare us, including in the Ministry preaching the good news, giving a comment in the meeting or participating in the different assignments of the meeting.

Look at the photograph we have in our activity guide, under this part of the speech, we notice that the sister is standing there observing a young woman. Thinking about whether she preaches to him or not, fearing that the young woman's appearance may not be so pleasant, her sister holds in her hand a publication that he chose precisely for her, the treatise on where to find answers to questions. big questions.

There are some situations that would not be so favorable for any Christian, the bus is full of people, you will attract attention if you start a conversation with this young woman, their attitude is not so good, she is sitting in the center of the seat, there is no room for another person, and the sister has a seat arranged so that she does not have any difficulty and can sit, but the love for Christ and that person will prompt her in a very kind way to approach and start a nice conversation that could mean changes for that young woman. and if you have the right heart, life forever.

Yes, love for Christ drives us to be brave, so to do so let us remember the words indicated in Isaiah 41:13. Because I, Jehovah your God, hold your right hand, I am the one who tells you: "Do not be afraid, I will help you." If we are one of them who are afraid to take a step, we must take it.

Within Our Christian Activity we can review in our book of songs from the Theocratic Meetings, song 153, in the chorus or chorus says: «Jehovah God strengthen me, bring me closer to you, make me see that there is more on my side than against me , I want to be brave and never doubt for you I will be brave. Very soon you will conquer that our love for Jehovah, Christ and our neighbor will help us to be brave at all times of our Christian living.
