What does this experience teach us about God's love?
He teaches us that his love is so great that he will always be there for us, to give us help the most we need it. In addition, he has given us tools so that we can get closer to him, who are our brothers in faith, our publications and prayer, now it is up to us if we use them.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
It also teaches us that no matter how difficult or dark our past is, Jehovah will forgive us, and what's more, neither he nor our fellow believers will judge us for it. On the other hand, we learn that we should never judge new brothers in the congregation by their past lives.
This experience teaches us that no matter how many problems we have in our lives, we should never abandon Jehovah because he truly cares about each one of us and provides us with his great love, which is the greatest thing he can give us.
Jehovah has shown us that he loves us. He has given us a beautiful home, the land and everything we need to enjoy life. He wants us to be his friends and has given us what it takes to know him. When we read the Bible, we listen to Jehovah. And he doesn't listen to us when we pray to him. He also guides us and gives us strength with his powerful Holy Spirit. He even sent his beloved son to earth to free us from sin and death. Thanks to his love we can have a strong faith. This experience teaches us that God's love is constant and patient. Despite difficult times and feeling abandoned by his earthly father, his brother found refuge in Jehovah, who was always present, listening to his requests and providing him comfort.
2024/ REPORT ON THE ACTIVITY OF THE LOCAL DEPARTMENT OF DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION.
Brothers from all over the world volunteer to work in local design and construction department groups. Although working at Kingdom Halls is the part of their work that most of us are familiar with, volunteers are also needed for Assembly Halls, housing for those serving in the field and relief work.
We need to continue improving our assembly places in Zambia, in many of these places the brothers sit on the ground and there is nothing to protect them from the rain or sun. During the Assembly program in the 2023 service year, we completed 10 projects related to Assembly Halls.
In Nigeria we have 23 Assembly Halls and as you can imagine we use them a lot. But mainly we have two problems, the heat and the noise of the rain when it rains very hard, and then what did we do, we put insulating panels on the roof, that solved both problems, it is very nice to see that now our brothers can meet in decent places . Furthermore, with the new baptism pools they have peace of mind, because they do not have to be baptized in a river that may be full of crocodiles.
The construction programs, which also allow us to train the brothers, we took advantage of the reform of the Assembly Hall to invite older brothers who were experts in their trades and were in good health so that they could transmit their knowledge to the younger brothers, and the truth is that there was great learning and an exchange of encouragement that was later also reflected in the congregations.
It is true that building Kingdom Halls and Assembly Halls is a priority in the program, but the homes of those who serve in the field are always very particular projects, because they are not buildings to which the brothers go some day in the week, but rather Someone is going to live there and eat and sleep.
A brother who lives in one of these new houses says that before they had to travel long distances to the houses of brothers who had electricity, because there was none in their mud houses, now that no longer happens. It is very important that these circuit overseers and their hard-working wives have a suitable place to live that allows them to rest well, study, and prepare what is necessary to help the congregations.
In the last three years, Nigeria has suffered several floods. First the committee of coordinators sends humanitarian aid and then the LDC ensures that the necessary reconstruction work is done. Disasters can affect theocratic facilities and the houses of the brothers, some brothers do not have the resources to rebuild their houses, which is why the LDC has such an important role, because it gathers the necessary information to decide which people will work on those projects.
Apart from natural disasters, Nigeria has also suffered from man-made disasters. There have been many local conflicts and many times the brothers have to flee to safer places and when they return unfortunately they sometimes find their houses completely destroyed or burned, it is at that moment when the LDC is safe, there will be what the people need. brothers and helps them with the reconstruction. Right now we have to rebuild 25 houses and repair 18.
If someone wants to help with the reconstruction work in the territory of the branch, they can fill out some applications, it could be DS 50, to be LDC volunteers, or A 19 with which one offers to collaborate in theocratic projects for several weeks or months, or even A 8 to collaborate full time with the LDC, perhaps many will say that they can only pray, but the truth is the best thing they can do, we need Jehovah to bless all these projects and we need him to bless all the volunteers who are working in those Theocratic facilities.
The reconstruction and renewal projects that we are doing now are preparing us for the future, for the great reconstruction and rehabilitation of the planet, and there we will all be able to participate by looking at things in retrospect, because I feel good, I feel happy and satisfied in a sense. spiritually, I see how Jehovah is blessing the program. This reminds me of the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 127, who said that if it is not because Jehovah builds the house, it is of no use that others are putting in their effort. Yes, all the glory and honor, without a doubt, goes to our great God Jehovah.
