APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: February 19-25, 2024, Talk: Help your student praise Jehovah, Lesson 10, Prepared Assignment.
Speech (5 mins.) w21.06 6, 7 paras. 15-18. Title: Help your student praise Jehovah (th lesson 10).
What motivates people from different cultural, social and linguistic backgrounds to praise Jehovah? Most of these reasons are motivated by gratitude. For example, many are grateful for having learned more about Jehovah such as his name, personality, and his qualities.
Others have gratitude to Jehovah for the wonderful promises that are recorded in the Bible, in other cases it may be gratitude for having freed us from lies, and taught us the truth. No matter what our motive, just as we are moved to praise Jehovah, students new to the Bible are also moved to praise him.
How can we help them? Something that will help us is to put ourselves in their place, perhaps at first it was difficult for us to praise Jehovah, perhaps we thought that we would never be able to preach, that we were incapable of sharing our faith from door to door, some perhaps were distressed by the opposition of our relatives or Maybe we thought we didn't have enough knowledge to talk about God.
With this in mind, we can then highlight two things by which we can help students praise Jehovah. For example the fear that they do not have enough knowledge and also how to overcome fears of fear of opposition.
Let's analyze the first point, not having enough knowledge. The disciples of Jesus also became nervous at one time, When they were sent to preach, But what helped them, let's see what Matthew chapter 10 says, verse 5 to 7, if you found it, please accompany me with the reading, it says like this...
LET'S READ MATTHEW 10:5-7.
Jesus commanded these 12 with the following instructions: “Do not go the way that leads to other nations and do not enter any city of Samaria. 6 Rather, go again and again in search of the lost sheep of the nation* of Israel. 7 Go preaching 'The Kingdom of heaven is at hand'.
Just as Jesus guided them, we too can guide our students. We can help you identify who you can preach to, and prepare what you will say in a clear and simple way. For example, we can use the sections: What some say and what some ask from the book Enjoy Life.
Another thing we can do is help them trust in Jehovah and that he will help them. For example, the paragraph mentions how a student learned a lot to trust in Jehovah thanks to the help of his teacher. She said in her prayers that her teacher spoke many times about the goals she had, and when I saw how Jehovah responded to her, I immediately began to pray. and now she also feels that Jehovah helped her when she had to ask for days off from my job to go to Meetings and Assemblies.
As we see, this example is just one of how we as teachers can help students have that courage so that they can praise Jehovah in public, when speaking to their classmates or preaching from house to house and how we can also help them trust in Jehovah when they are ready to speak of him.
In summary, dear brothers and sisters, let us remember that our work with students goes beyond simply teaching them Biblical knowledge. It is about helping them overcome their fears to trust in Jehovah and take firm steps on their path of faith. With love, patience, and Jehovah’s guidance, we can play a vital role in the spiritual growth of our students. May Jehovah continue to bless us in this important work.
