APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: November 27-December 3, 2023, Revisit, Lesson 6, Assignment Prepared.
Revisit (5 mins.): Use the topic of ideas to discuss. Then offer the Enjoy Life pamphlet and show what our Bible classes are like (th lec. 6).
Publisher: Mrs. Josefa, we see how the text of Job 26:7 gives us an excellent reason for you to trust the Bible. Can you please read it?
Assistant: Okay, it says like this………..
Publisher: Thank you for reading Mrs. Josefa, many people think that science can prove that the Bible has errors. But taking into account that the book of Job was written 3,500 years ago, what do you think about what you just read? Do you find the Bible reliable?
Helper: Well I think the Bible is reliable, but that is not what science is teaching us today. However, God already said it 3500 years ago. It is amazing and of course, its accuracy is reliable. In fact, I notice that what the Bible has demonstrated is true.
Publisher: Exactly. I had in mind to make that point, but you did it yourself, excellent.Assistant: Yes, I highlight that idea because it caught my attention, and it reminded me of what I studied at school. I remember that our geography teacher explained to us that in ancient times people had very strange beliefs or theories: she did not talk about the earth being placed on top of a giant turtle, another said that the earth floated in the water.
Publisher: That's right, but what science approved last century with man's trip to the moon proves that the earth is exact. Now, how does the scientific accuracy of the text of Job 26:7 help us trust the Bible?
Helper: It helps us because it teaches us that the entire Bible tells the truth, even in things that at a certain moment seem impossible to believe or very difficult to understand. just as it must have happened to the people of Job's time.
Publisher: Correct. and why this shows us that the text of Job was inspired by Jehovah God, just like the rest of the Bible. Only the one who created the Bible and the universe can have such accurate information.
Assistant: The truth is that it makes sense.
Publisher: It's good that you understood it. Here I bring you the brochure "Enjoy life." If we look at lesson 3 of the booklet in point 4, you will notice the information we were analyzing. But he also gives us other excellent examples, such as the water cycle, which is mentioned in Job 36:27, 28, but science barely understood 200 years ago. I can also come back to show you what other questions the Bible answers.
Assistant: Sure, it seems very good to me. Would you do it more or less as you did today?
Publisher: That's right. I explain to you this is our way of teaching classes with the Bible: We agree on a schedule according to your time availability. With this booklet we are going to analyze portions of the Bible just as we just did today. As you saw, our classes are practically pleasant conversations and nothing complicated. The booklet guides us through the Bible and you and I talk about the important topics it contains and what benefits us so much from every point of view.
Assistant: Sounds good to me. We can continue at this same time, if you have no objection.
Publisher: Perfect for me. I leave you the brochure and next Thursday I will continue instructing you about our Bible courses and the different tools we have as support, and of course we will answer the pending question.
Assistant: Excellent, that's how we are.
