APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: Week of November 20 to 26, 2023, First conversation, Use the topic of ideas to talk and overcome a common objection in your territory, Lesson 12, Prepared Assignment.

APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: November 20-26, 2023, First conversation, Lesson 12, Assignment Prepared.

First conversation (3 mins.): Use the topic of ideas to discuss and overcome a common objection in your territory (th lesson 12).

Publisher: Good morning madam, my name is María, and I will be delighted if you allow me to know your answer to the question: Where can we find good advice for life?

Assistant: What a good morning or what a good morning. The neighborhood has been without water for a month and to top it all off we haven't had electricity service for two days. We report the problem and no authority is present or resolves the situation. So the last thing I want is to talk to Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm very stressed, I can't help you

Publisher: What a regrettable situation. I am very sorry indeed. In fact, I understand you perfectly because I have also been through that situation once. Please try not to worry so much, it can hurt you.

Assistant: I know that very well. But it's easier said than done, under these circumstances.

Publisher: Precisely that is what I wanted to talk to you about very briefly. Look at what the Bible says here in two Timothy 3:16-17 "All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for rebuking, for rectifying things and for educate according to what is good, so that the man of God may be qualified and fully prepared to do all kinds of good works.

Assistant: Very nice. But what does that have to do with my problem?

Publisher: In the Bible we find useful and practical advice for our daily lives. For example, there are tips to maintain self-control so we can think clearly and see possible solutions to our problems. There are also tips that help us stay calm during distressing situations. Likewise, the Bible teaches us that we can ask Jehovah in prayer for wisdom, to know how to act and to make good decisions. It also teaches us that we can ask Him to give us peace of mind or strength to endure our difficult circumstances.

Assistant: Well María, looking at it like this you are absolutely right. Forgive me if I was rude to you.

Publisher: Don't worry. On another occasion we can talk again briefly like today. I could show you the Bible's answer to the question, Why can you trust the Bible?

Assistant: I think it's very good, Maria. By the way my name is Julia. In fact, talking to you has calmed me down a bit. Maybe you can spend Saturday afternoon?

Publisher: Of course, I will be delighted.
