APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: May 22-28-2023, Bible Course, Lesson 3 Prepared Assignment.
Bible course (5 min.): lff lesson 10 introduction and points 1-3 (th lec. 3).
Publisher: Now we are going to study lesson number 10, Why it is good to attend meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses. Well, you have already had the opportunity to attend one of this meeting, remember when the death of Jesus was celebrated.
Student: Yes I remember.
Publisher: Well this was a special meeting, but there are also meetings that are held every week, to begin with I would like you to read the introductory paragraph please.
Student: It's okay.
Publisher: As we see there are many questions that people ask themselves before attending a meeting, one of these is for example: What is done in these meetings or if I should go? and there are even people who feel very nervous when attending?.
Student: Yes it's true, I felt that way too, but later I saw that it was something different from what I had imagined.
Publisher: Yes that's true, but now we go to question number 1, What is the main reason for meeting? Would you like to read the paragraph?
Student: Yes, the paragraph says…..
Publisher: Thanks for reading. Now we are going to read the text of Psalms 26:12.
Student: Okay the text says…..
Publisher: Very good. According to Psalm 26:12, what did people gather for?
Student: Well, according to what I have read, they did it to praise Jehovah.
Publisher: So that we can understand, please look up Jeremiah 8:8. It says…….In ancient times the Bible was the law of God, it was known that way, today the same thing happens, in our meetings you have noticed that when we went for the first time, many biblical texts were mentioned.
Student: Yes, I remember that. And it's very different from what they do in other religious cults.
Publisher: That gives us an idea that the meetings revolve around what the Bible teaches. Do you think this is important?
Student: Of course, because the objective of praising God is fulfilled.
Publisher: Exactly, and so what the Bible says is taught, and there are no teachings or beliefs of men. Let's see how this meeting benefits us the most in point number 3.
Student: Ok, I'm going to read it, it says like this….
Publisher: When you went to the meeting, how did you feel?
Student: Well, to be honest, I felt very good, as if I had a lot of friends, they all greeted me with a smile, and that really caught my attention.
Publisher: I'm glad you felt that way. And that is precisely the objective of our meeting. When we go we feel good, as Hebrews 10:24,25 says, going to meetings motivates us to keep going.
Student: And all meetings are the same?
Publisher: Of course we are all one big family.
Student: That is very good, it is something very attractive.
Publisher: When you go to the meetings, feel free to also talk with anyone, whether they are married, single, children, young people. And all of them have good experiences in common, Jehovah has helped us to cope with the problems, he will see that some have had to work hard and others have had to deal with problems, but we are very happy there.
Student: Well, yes, I would like to talk with them.
Publisher: How about the next time we go, we talk to some of them.
Student: Sure is fine.
Publisher: Then we make arrangements to attend.
Student: It's okay.
