Watchtower Study, What the Bible Tells Us About Its Author, April 3-9, 2023, Comments and Answers.
"Write in a book all the words that I say to you" (JER. 30:2).
1. Why are you grateful for the gift of the Bible?
I am grateful that Jehovah has given me the Bible, because through it I receive his wise advice, which helps me know what to do when I have problems. Also through the Bible Jehovah offers me a hope for the future and shows me his personality and precious qualities of him so that I can know him better, know each other better, get closer to him and become his friend.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The Bible is a wonderful gift from Jehovah, and as Psalm 25:14 says, it teaches us what we must do to become intimate with our heavenly father. The psalmist David said: Therefore, the Bible allows me the opportunity to meet and take the necessary steps to be admitted into Jehovah's inner circle, or what is the same, to enter into a pact of friendship with him. So the Bible is a wonderful gift that I am eternally grateful for.
Through the Bible we receive wise advice from our God that helps us to live in the best way, gives us hope for a much better life than what we live now and most importantly: It shows us the personality of God, what he is like, what is his purpose, and what he requires of us to draw near to him and be his friends.
The gift of the Bible is like a map, a treasure. It gives us the best advice, the wise advice that can help us when we have problems, it is not only help when there are problems, it is a guide for our path, there are infallible principles that have guided millions and millions of people in the history of humanity, not now only in 2023 or back in 1914 forever.
Also Jehovah by showing us what his personality is like. He gives us the possibility to meditate on his precious qualities, which moves us deeply.
2. In what ways has Jehovah given us information about him?
In the past, to give us information about him, Jehovah used dreams, visions and even Angels, as shown in the texts of Numbers 12:6 and Acts 10:3 and 4. For his part, Jeremiah 30:2 indicates that it was the desire of Jehovah that a book be written where some chosen men would write down what he wanted us to know and study. In this way, the sacred scriptures or what we know today as the Bible arose in ancient times. This shows that Jehovah not only used various ways to give us information about him, but also made sure that all this information was conveyed in the best way.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The fact that faithful men have recorded in the Bible their experiences, prophecies, dreams and visions inspired by Jehovah, shows that he wants us to know him and his purpose. And he did it in such a way that we could understand the Bible, there is no doubt that the way of the true god is perfect as mentioned in Psalm 18:30.
In many ways, for example, in the past he used dreams, visions and even angels to give information to his servants, not to us. In fact, the organization is clear that the brothers who belong to the governing body, they do not receive dreams, revelations or supernatural information. That is established, they have clarified it, because it is an issue that is often speculated on, that they hear voices. From what our brothers, regarding this topic, have published on the official site, that they do not receive this type of supernatural omen by calling it something. But yes, in the past God guided his people and his prophets through legitimate prophets, legitimate servants, who were a direct communication channel between the creator and his people.
And a part of all that information is written in the sacred scriptures, and we can study that, Jehovah also commanded some to write in a book what he wanted us to know as mentioned in Jeremiah 30:2, then there is in different ways has communicated with humanity.
3. What did Jehovah do so that the Bible would be preserved to this day? (Isaiah 40:8).
Although the original manuscripts of the scriptures do not survive, because they were written thousands of years ago on materials that did not stand the test of time, Jehovah ensured that textual copies were made and that copyists, imperfect men as they were, They were extremely meticulous. So much so, that one expert said that the Hebrew scriptures were certain that no other work of antiquity had been transmitted with such accuracy. This makes it clear that the Bible we read today not only conveys the thoughts of its author Jehovah, but also does so with complete clarity and precision.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
So while the Bible was originally written on materials that would fade over time, such as animal skins and papyri, Jehovah used copyists to preserve the scriptures. These men loved the scriptures so much that the manuscripts were rigorously done to ensure their accuracy. Isaiah 4:8 says that the word of our God stands forever. And today we know that this has been fulfilled because Jehovah has not allowed anything to prevent him from communicating with us to give us the information that he wants us to know.
Therefore, although it was written by imperfect men long ago and with materials that deteriorate easily, But, Jehovah made sure that his thoughts were accurately transmitted and preserved.
4. What will we analyze in this article?
Because the Bible is one of the best gifts from God, for everything it teaches us. That is why in this article we will analyze three qualities of Jehovah that are clearly seen in the Bible: his wisdom, his justice, and his love.
THE BIBLE REFLECTS THE WISDOM OF GOD
5. What is one proof that the Bible reflects God's wisdom?
Jehovah is our creator, and he knows what we need, so much so that the Bible can change people's lives for the better, since ancient times those who have learned from it have been very happy in every way, and although the Bible was written long ago, it still has the power to change people's lives. On jw.org, there are many examples of this in the "The Bible Changed Their Lives" series of articles.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Proof that the Bible reflects God's wisdom, we see it in the advice it contains, since they have such a positive effect on people that they can change their lives in a positive way. Hence Deuteronomy 32:47 says of the Bible: "These are not empty words for you, but mean your life." While Psalm 1:2 and 3 affirms that those who obey what the scriptures say are happy and successful.
The fact that it is not enough to simply accept the Bible as a holy book, but that it has to be put into practice so that it has a positive effect on people, reflects God's wisdom. That is what it meant to accept the word of God for those who believed in the first century, of whom the apostle Paul wrote what we read in 1 Thessalonians 2:13. Since Paul told them that these words that they heard, they accepted it not as the word of men, but as it really is as the word of God and these words were working in those believers, which means that they applied the teachings of the Bible and it had a positive effect on their lives.
Since ancient times we have evidence that the Bible reflects the wisdom of God. For example, Moses told the people of Israel what he records in Deuteronomy 32 47, making it clear that the life of each one of the Israelites depended on their accepting and putting into practice the advice that Jehovah had given them and that was found in the scriptures. In more recent times we also find examples that prove that the Bible reflects Jehovah's wisdom. And as already mentioned, on the page jw.org, "The Bible changed their lives" there we have biographies of people who were able to make great changes and improve their lives by following the advice of the Bible.
Wisdom is knowing a lot and applying what is known, so the advice is in the Bible. Its principles have a very positive effect on people, let's just think about the 10 commandments, love the creator with all your being, soul, mind, strength. Love your neighbor as yourself, honor your parents, don't steal, don't kill, don't commit adultery, and so on goes the list of commandments. Only those commandments would change the world for the better, if everyone applied those 10 commandments the world would be different, of course that will not happen today, because the world is not under the power of the creator, but under the power of the evil one, but That will happen in the new world.
So there is the point, the 10 commandments. The principles that are in the Bible have a very positive effect on those who practice them. The Bible can change people's lives is what we just said, when Moses wrote the first books of the Bible, the pentateuch told the people of God to the Israelites: these are not empty words for you but mean your life because those who obey her or obey them obtain life, are happy and succeed as Psalm 1:2,3 says.
6. Why do we say that there is no book like the Bible?
We say this because only the Bible is authored by Jehovah, the Almighty God, eternal and of incomparable wisdom.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The fact that Jehovah, the Almighty, is the author, is reason enough to consider the Bible as the only book that everyone should read. Because when we do it and meditate on His advice, Jehovah uses his powerful Holy Spirit to help us put ourselves into practice, it is just as Paul says under Inspiration in Hebrews 4:12 that the Bible is alive with power penetrates into our interior and makes us do the changes Because we want to please our God.
We also say it because the wise advice of the Bible never loses its value, and when we read and meditate on it, Jehovah uses his powerful Holy Spirit to help us put ourselves into practice, and he does it because he sincerely wants to help us. All these factors make the Bible a unique book.
This book is so to speak, it is not from this earth, it does not come from here, the author is not from this planet, from this physical world, but is literally from another dimension, its author Jehovah the eternal Almighty God and his wisdom is incomparable. It is true that there are books that many motivators write to give people ideas. Proof of this was a doctor in the United States, at one time he recommended methods of raising children such as allowing them to do what they want, without rules. And eventually he recanted and in the end obviously because of the imperfection, he got sick and died, and no one remembers him today. So that does not happen with the Bible, on the contrary, the advice of the Bible does not stop being useful, it never loses its value, it has helped people at all times, when we read this sacred book and meditate on its advice,
In Hebrews 4:12 it says that the Bible, the word of God, is alive, and that word exercises power. In fact this physical world came into existence by the word of the creator. So when we read that holy book, we are reading the word of the creator that has power, it is powerful. So we can also meditate on God's own thoughts.
7. How did the Bible unite God's people in the past?
When the people of Israel entered the promised land, they dispersed to different cities and their inhabitants dedicated themselves to different trades. So to keep us United Jehovah used the scriptures. All Israelites and even foreign residents had to obey the mandate of Deuteronomy 31:10-13, where Jehovah demanded to meet to celebrate the festival of booths every 7 years. In this way, from generation to generation, they would hear about Jehovah and his laws and all came to love and respect him as required by the text just mentioned.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Something impressive that shows that the Bible contains the wisdom of God: It is that it is able to keep his servants United. He did it in ancient times with his people, who, although they lived in different places and with different trades and social and economic backgrounds, always met to hear his word and learn more. The same thing happened in the first century with the Christian congregation, this achieved unity in the worship of the only true god Jehovah.
Jehovah continued to use the wisdom contained in the Bible to keep his people together in an impressive way, also in the first century when he began the Christian congregation. Although the congregation was made up of men and women with different languages and social and economic backgrounds, they all loved the scriptures and this motivated them to serve Jehovah in unity. In this way, those who were joining the congregation could understand the word of God, since the most experienced Christians explained the scriptures to those who joined the meetings.
When the Israelites entered the promised land, they settled in different places. Some became fishermen, others ranchers, and others farmers. So the Israelites who lived in one part of the country could easily have forgotten those who lived in another. But Jehovah saw to it that they all met regularly to hear his word and learn more, they were united in true worship.
8. How does Jehovah use the Bible to unite his people today?
As mentioned in the previous paragraph, today the same thing happens as in ancient times, Jehovah uses the Bible to teach his people and keep them United. On it he bases all the spiritual food that we receive both in the Meetings and in the Assemblies.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
At present, Jehovah uses nutritious spiritual food based on the Bible to keep his people united. We receive this nourishment through Christian meetings, assemblies, study and thoughtful reading of the Bible, and the analysis that each one of us makes of Biblical teachings. In this way, Jehovah, in addition to fulfilling his purpose, keeps his people united by serving shoulder to shoulder as prophesied in Zephaniah 3: 9.
The Illustration for paragraphs 7 and 8 shows without a doubt that Jehovah uses the Bible to keep his people United today. In the image we can see a sample of a wide variety of publications that we currently have in different languages and formats. We see scrolls of the holy scriptures, codices and copies of the Bible in paper and digital formats for electronic devices. In the same way, we observe people of different nationalities and trades, whether at work, home or on public transport, all of them United through the Bible. Although Jehovah's Witnesses are scattered throughout the world, Jehovah makes the Bible available to each of us to keep us United.
ILLUSTRATION
And we see here an image, here we see brothers from different countries, races, languages, social classes and who are studying the sacred scriptures, which are within our reach today. We can see how the Bible has been changing presentation formats, at one time they were written rolls, at another time they became papyri, books, codices of different sizes, volumes and now even in electronic format.
Series of images: 1. Scrolls of the Holy Scriptures, codices and copies on paper, as well as the digital version of the Bible on two electronic devices. 2. People from different countries and backgrounds reading the Bible in digital or paper format. They are in places like work, home or public transport. How did the Bible unite God's people in the past, and how does it hold them together today? (See paragraphs 7 and 8).
9. What quality is needed to understand the message of the Bible? (Luke 10:21).
Luke 10:21 reveals that the quality needed to understand the message of the Bible is humility. Although everyone can read it, only those who are humble of heart can understand it and put it into practice.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The words of Jesus recorded in Luke 10:21 that we have just read reveal that the Bible was written in a way that only those with the right attitude could understand its message. Hence, neither wise men nor intellectuals can interpret it correctly, since they are generally proud people. Instead, those who read it With the humility of little ones, and with the desire to learn, receive from Jehovah the understanding of his message in a correct way as a reward for his humility.
Another proof of Jehovah's wisdom is the clear and simple way that it is written, in such a way that we only need to be simple and humble to understand it, this quality is necessary, because only being humble helps us to put it into practice.
The quality is humility and we should not confuse humility with being gullible and naive people who blindly accept everything, without analyzing what they are being told. In fact the Bereans, says the Bible, they accepted the word of God and it says that they examined carefully to see if what was said to them at that moment was written, it was in harmony with what they had that were the sacred scriptures until that moment. . However, despite all this, there are proud, arrogant people who preferred to accept everything that exists around us, such as the fact that the earth appeared out of nowhere. of an explosion. But never accept the idea of a creator. So humility is important in the spiritual growth of any human being.
10. How else can we see Jehovah's wisdom in the Bible?
Another way the Bible reflects Jehovah's wisdom is by teaching us as a group and comforting us individually. In this way, Isaiah 30:21 is fulfilled, which says that Jehovah is very aware of each one of us. And it is that, although the Bible was written for millions of people, its updated information adapts to the needs of each one. This is only possible because the Bible is a reflection of Jehovah's wisdom.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
And what has just been mentioned about the fact that Jehovah is interested in or comforts each of us individually, we can notice it when we go through problems, at some point we have read a biblical text that came to us like a glove, and something surprising is that they adapt to the needs of each person. This is only possible because the Bible is the work of our creator who knows each of us personally.
In Isaiah 30:21 he uses the expression you will hear with your own ears. So Jehovah speaks to each of us, and he wants us to hear his voice on a personal level. Another example is when we have problems, many times we have read the exact biblical text that we need, which shows us that the Bible is the work of the wisest author that exists, Jehovah God.
The scriptures not only to teach us or to give us orders, but also to comfort us individually, when we read his word we see that Jehovah is very attentive to each one of us. Isaiah 30:21 mentions that it is as if we heard a voice behind our ears that tells us this is the path, walk on it, when going through problems, surely we have read biblical texts or some information that came at the appropriate time. So this is possible Only because the Bible is inspired by God as Second Timothy 3:16 and 17 says, all scripture is inspired by God and is Useful for each one of us.
THE BIBLE REFLECTS THE JUSTICE OF GOD
11. How did God show that he is impartial when the Bible was written?
Deuteronomy 32:4 says that God is just and that everything he does is perfect. While fact 1034 and 35, as well as Romans 2:11, makes it very clear that God is not partial. We see this demonstrated in the way the Bible was written: The first 39 biblical books were written in the Hebrew language which the people of Israel understood. But by the time of the first Christians, the dominant language was Greek, hence the last 27 books of the Bible were written in that language.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Well let's remember Impartial means that it is not literally a face maker, so the languages that God chose to write the Bible prove it, Hebrew Aramaic and Greek the first 39 books in Hebrew, a language that the people of God at that time understood perfectly Most of us do not speak Hebrew, but he mentions that when the Christian congregation was recently formed, many people spoke Greek.
So the last 27 books of the Bible were written in Greek and today there is a hodgepodge of languages. Of course, the servants of God at that time did not speak English, but today English is one of the predominant languages worldwide, Chinese is also the Spanish language, what to say is Braille and thus there are an infinity of languages worldwide, and That is why Jehovah has ensured that his word the Bible is translated into many of these languages worldwide so that the message reaches the world population.
What we have just mentioned shows that Jehovah is fine with his word being written in more than one language, and that is what we are seeing today since his word is available to everyone. The complete Bible has been published in 244 languages, and the Christian Greek Scriptures (New Testament) in 324 languages. which shows that he is an impartial God.
12. How has Daniel 12:4 been fulfilled in these last days?
Daniel 12:4 predicted that by the end time knowledge would become abundant. In other words, many people would understand what the Bible says. This has been accomplished, because Jehovah has made it possible through the translations, editions, and distribution of very many copies of the Bible and other publications based on it.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Another feature of the fulfillment of Daniel 12:4, is that although Bible translations are normally expensive, Jehovah has caused the Bible to be translated in whole or in parts into more than 240 languages and distributed free of charge. So the kingdom message has reached more people and everyone has the opportunity to get to know Jehovah by reading the Bible.
Well, many copies of the sacred scriptures and biblical publications have been translated, edited and distributed. However, what other surprises are we going to see in the future, it will be that more manuscripts, papyri, codices are going to be discovered, which are hidden by the groups that, so to speak, dominate this system, well we don't know, but what we do know is that what we have within our reach has offered us a guide that allows us to walk through this system.
We can also say that the Bible is the most translated and distributed book in history, many of the translations that are for sale are also very expensive, but Jehovah's people have fully or partially translated them into more than 240 languages and all everyone can get a free copy. The Bible reflects the love of God.
And thanks to the fact that the people of God have translated the Bible into many languages, millions of people from all nations are accepting the good news of the Kingdom, and they are doing so before the end comes, which shows the great love that is has in making this possible.
THE BIBLE REFLECTS THE LOVE OF GOD
13. Why do we say that the Bible reflects God's love? (John 21:25).
The Bible also reflects God's love, because through it, he tells us exactly what we need to make his friends, to have a happy life and to live forever.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
We say this because John 21:25 says that if the many things Jesus did were ever written in detail, it would contain the scrolls that would be written. However, because God is love, he included in the Bible only things we need to know to be his friends and have a happy life and live forever, instead of overloading us with details we don't need to know right now.
Jesus did many other things that if they were ever written down in detail it is very likely that the world itself could not contain the scrolls that would be written. The same Bible reveals to us that the word of Jehovah is not limited to 66 little books, here it mentions many things that Jesus Christ did. Let's imagine we don't have any book that Jesus has written or that each one of those faithful Apostles wrote, that is another mystery, another intriguing theme that is in our history, and this is so because there is a religion that dominates the world, which decided that the book they were going to put themselves in the supposed Canon which were the ones they did approve and which ones they did not. But the Bible says have peace brothers there is nothing carefully hidden hidden locked up that will not be revealed or manifested, but not when we want, but in the perfect time that Jehovah and his son wish to do. So we have to be patient and wait for the will of our Father.
However, with this knowledge that we have at our fingertips, the Bible says, we can start from there and believe in the creator in his son and in his Kingdom and that already directs us in our lives, there we are told exactly what we need to know to make his friends to have a happy life and to live forever, but because Jehovah loves us so much he has not burdened us with a lot of unnecessary details.
14. How else does the Bible reflect God's love?
The Bible does not give a long list of rules to control even the smallest details of our lives. Rather, Jehovah uses real-life stories, exciting prophecies, and practical advice to help us make good decisions. This treatment and communication that Jehovah uses with us through the Bible is another way of reflecting his love.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Following the line of the question, Jehovah does not give us endless rules, he shows us his love by treating us with dignity, and he also does it when he communicates with us. As already mentioned, he uses real life stories, prophecies and practical advice, with the aim of helping us make good decisions in our lives.
Unlike this world, Jehovah uses the laws, norms, and principles in a balanced way, and as this is the case, these laws are easier to comply with, since instead of oppressing us, they motivate us to obey from the heart, and that is something that reflects the great love that he has for us by acting in this way.
15. (a) How does the Bible show that Jehovah cares a lot about us?
Jehovah cares a lot about us and the Bible shows it, since Jehovah included in it stories where the characters express emotions equal to ours so that in this way we feel identified and can extract valuable lessons. And more importantly, the Bible shows how Jehovah treated these Biblical characters, ordinary people like us, with so much love. So when we analyze these facts we see how important we are to him.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
And these stories express human emotions, and being human beings, this makes us identify with these Biblical characters. And what is more important, when we analyze the way in which he treated characters who were like us, we better understand that Jehovah is very loving and merciful.
The creator has not left us adrift, he has given us guidance, he has given us prayer, he has given us life, he has given us his beloved son as a ransom, and he has given us hope, he has also given us examples of men and faithful women who had the same feelings as us, and when we analyze the way in which he treated people who were like us, we understand God better. And it is clear that we are not going to do things as we want or at our will, as if we are going to give orders to God. But as long as we respect it, that is, we fear God and let ourselves be guided by him.
15. b) What biblical characters are the girl, the younger brother, and the older sister in the images meditating on? (Gen. 39:1, 10-12; 2 Kings 5:1-3; Luke 2:25-38).
Looking at the images we can see that the girl reads the book, reads the lessons they learn from the Bible and meditates on how the little Israelite girl had to talk to her mistress. The young brother reads the Bible and meditates on how Joseph had to flee from Potiphar's wife. And the older sister reads the Bible and meditates on the moment when the prophetess Anna saw little Jesus. Consequently, if we meditate on how Jehovah treated these biblical characters, we will perceive his love, his mercy, and how important we are to him.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
In the images we see that the Israelite girl is meditating on the courage that the Israelite girl had to speak to Naaman's wife, and tell her that Jehovah's prophet could cure her husband of the leprosy he had. Surely this example would encourage her to be courageous when it comes to preaching.
We can also observe in the images that the young brother meditates on how Joseph resisted the temptation to commit immorality with his master's wife, and his determination to uphold the moral laws of Jehovah. So this example will help young people to flee temptations and be determined to obey Jehovah's moral standards.
In addition, we also observe in the images an older sister who is meditating on the privilege that Simeon and Anna, two elderly servants, had to know Jesus the Christ and liberator, when Mary took him to the temple. The sister surely feels privileged to see how all the prophecies that have to do with the last days are being fulfilled and that include the presence of Jesus, the king of the Messianic Kingdom.
ILLUSTRATION
Series of images: 1. A girl reads the book "Lessons I Learn from the Bible" and meditates on when the Israelite girl had to talk to her mistress. 2. A young brother reads the Bible and meditates on Joseph running away from Potiphar's wife. 3. An older sister reads the Bible and meditates on the moment when the prophetess Anna saw little Jesus. Why is it good for us to ponder how Jehovah treated his past servants? (See paragraph 15).
16. What do Biblical accounts of people who made mistakes teach us about Jehovah? (Isaiah 55:7).
It teaches us that the people of God is made up of imperfect people and, being so, situations related to unforgivable sins in human eyes have occurred and will occur, both the leaders and the people, and of course it teaches us that if that happened in the past worth the redundancy in the present is no exception.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Biblical accounts of characters who made mistakes teach us another way in which Jehovah expresses his love for us. We see, for example, that the Israelites sinned against Jehovah over and over again, but they always repented, Jehovah forgave them. Likewise, Jehovah continued to express his love to his first-century Christian brothers, and they made mistakes. An example of this is that the apostle Paul with divine inspiration encouraged the brothers to forgive and comfort a man who had repented after having fallen into an immoral life. On the other hand, James 4:8-10 shows us that Jehovah promises to forgive any repentant sin today.
The mistakes made by the biblical characters that are written in the Bible, shows us that Jehovah is very loving and merciful, that he is ready to forgive when we repent from the heart, When someone made a mistake, with great affection, he helped them, corrected them and He invited them back into his arms. And he promises to do the same to anyone today, as long as he repents of his sins.
Currently there is no book where the errors of our brothers or the bad things that happen within the congregation are being written or published, nor is it published on our website. Worldwide, many do not like to mention these things, much less accept them, but the Bible is an example of honesty, many book authors hide or do not speak of the bad things they did or those of their group. But in the Bible yes. So Jehovah wants us too to be honest and not sell or convey an image of absolute perfection on our part.
So Jehovah does not sweep bad things under the rug, he does not cover up mistakes, let us be very clear, if he did not do it, we cannot cover up and transmit an image that is not even in the Bible. Jehovah did not hide the errors, but what he did help his servants with love, corrected them and invited them to return to his arms, and he promises to do the same with any of us who sin today, but repent as James 4 says :8 to 10.
Jehovah has always sought a way to express his immense love, his mercy, and the most important thing we are to him, even when we make mistakes. This should impress us a lot because instead of turning his back on us when we make a mistake, Jehovah helps us correct us and invites us to return to his arms as Isaiah 55: 7 shows. He did it in ancient times with the Israelites and then with the first Christians and continues to do so with us today.
THE BIBLE IS A PRECIOUS GIFT
17. Why is the Bible such a special gift?
The Bible is such a special gift because as we have seen the Bible teaches us about the creator's justice, also the wisdom that he has, the love that he has for us and that is why he wants us to know him and be his children, his friends and of course his servants.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
It is a very special gift because it teaches us that God is just and wise, that he loves us and that we are very important to him. Furthermore, the Bible shows that Jehovah wants us to know him and be his friends.
It is also a special gift, because through this gift, he wants us to know him and be his friends, which shows that we are very important to him.
18. How do we show that we appreciate the great gift that is the Bible?
We demonstrate it when, after having prayed, we read the Bible and meditate on it. In that case, Jehovah blesses us and at the same time we find the knowledge of God.
We might think that we should spend 24 hours of the whole year reading the Bible, in reality it is not about that, but about praying, reading, meditating. And let us note something very important, we also practice the principles, the advice and obey its commandments, there are brothers who cannot read because they did not have the opportunity to receive academic or school information. But in their hearts they have great love and fear and respect for Jehovah and his commandments, there are people with a great academic training, doctorates, university degrees and have knowledge of the sacred scriptures but they do not appreciate this gift and do not practice what the principles say Biblical. So let's not worry Jehovah is not asking us to have our heads full of the Bible, but rather that we have our hearts full of his principles, because if he is in the heart,
WHAT WOULD YOU ANSWER?
How does the Bible reflect Jehovah's wisdom?
His wisdom is seen because although the Bible was written a long time ago, his advice is still useful for our time. Also, although it was not written for a select group, when we need advice we find just what we need individually.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The Bible reflects Jehovah's wisdom because his advice has a very positive effect on people, helping us to make great changes and improve our lives. Also, since the author of it is Jehovah, his wise advice never loses value and has helped people throughout the ages. Likewise, Jehovah in his great wisdom continues to use the Bible to teach his people and keep them together.
His advice has a very positive effect on people, the Bible can change people's lives when. Moses wrote the books of the Bible and told the people that these are not empty words for you. but they mean his life. Those who obeyed what the scriptures said would be happy and successful. Although the Bible was written a long time ago, it still has the power to change people's lives.
How does the Bible reflect Jehovah's righteousness?
The Bible reflects Jehovah's justice because he allowed it to be written in more than one language, the first 39 books in Hebrew and the last 27 in Greek. Therefore, his people understood what they read from the scriptures. In addition, at present, he has allowed the Bible to be translated, edited and distributed throughout the world, so that as many people as possible have the opportunity to know him by reading his word.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The Bible reflects Jehovah's justice, because its messages are for everyone, and it doesn't matter what nationality it is or what language is spoken. This is demonstrated by the fact that the Bible is translated into more than 240 languages so that most people can get to know it.
We see his justice and impartiality in the languages that were written, the Bible was those of his people and today in 2023 the Bible is within the reach of a large part of the languages or of the world population. So there you see his justice and impartiality.
How does the Bible reflect Jehovah's love?
The Bible reflects Jehovah's love, because we see how he treats his servants. And we also see that he wants us to get to know him, because he teaches us through stories, prophecies and wise advice that can reach our hearts.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The Bible reflects God's love, because it contains exactly what we need to know, so Jehovah did not overload us with many details that we do not need. Also, another sign of his love is because he treats us with dignity. In its pages we find fair and balanced laws, norms and principles that motivate us to obey from the heart. Also, Jehovah allowed stories that express human emotions to be written in his word. What allows us to identify with the biblical characters, since they had the same feelings as us. Likewise, the scriptures assure us that God will not abandon us when we make a mistake.
He shows us his love, by treating us with dignity when he communicates with us, he does not give us an endless list of rules to control even the smallest detail, rather he uses real life stories, prophecies and advice to help us make good decisions.
