APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, April 24-30, 2023, First Conversation, Lesson 1, Assignment Prepared.
First Conversation (3 min.): Use the topic of ideas for conversation. Then talk to the person on our website and give them a jw.org contact card (th lec. 1).
Publisher: Good morning, I am glad to find you at home, my name is Alberto and I am a neighbor of the community.
Assistant: Good morning, I'm Ismael, what do you want?
Publisher: I would like to talk to you about a person who lived thousands of years ago and who is still remembered quite vividly throughout the Earth at a certain time that usually falls in April and which we mention and refer to many times in our lives. Do you know who I'm referring to?
Helper: I think you are talking about Jesus and that you are a Jehovah's Witness.
Publisher: You are indeed right and since you know us, I want you to know that this conversation will be brief and I won't take up too much of your time. Why do even non-believers remember and commemorate Jesus?
Assistant: If so, you can help him. I understand, in fact, I do too, it is worth remembering at certain times, just as we do with good people and who have achieved great things for humanity.
Publisher: Very good, your reasoning seems logical to me. What did Jesus do for humanity?
Helper: When he lived on Earth, it is said that he did very good things and works for others and especially for those most in need.
Publisher: It is true, many people remember you because of what you have said, and also because of what the Bible says in Matthew 16:16 that I would like to read to you, here it says: "Simon Peter answered him:" You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." What else was Jesus?
Helper: Well, the text says that he is the Son of God.
Publisher: Many people are not only known or are honored because they have done good things, but they are also remembered by their family... because Jesus is the very Son of God who was sent into the world, for what?
Helper: I guess to do all those good things.
Publisher: As you have said before for humanity, but he not only limited himself to being a good man to others but also left a legacy for all of us by fulfilling his father's will by sending him to Earth.
Helper: Yes, how? What is that legacy? He already left us a good example of how to live life so that we do better and be better people with others.
Publisher: Well look, this legacy goes further, much more, than an example to follow as a perfect man. But I told him that it would be brief, in fact, I would like to leave you this contact card that has a QR code that takes you to the website of Jehovah's Witnesses, free and without ads.
Assistant: Ah ok, thanks, I'll take a look.
Publisher: If you do some research on the website you can find a lot of information about Jesus until we meet next week if that's okay with you, briefly like today, and I'll explain why Jesus had to die so that humanity can enjoy the great gift what he did to us
Assistant: Ok, you leave me wondering, I'll investigate the web, see you next week.
