APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: Week of April 17-23, 2023, First conversation, Overcome a common objection in your territory, Lesson 12, Assignment Prepared.

APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: April 17-23-2023, First conversation, Lesson 12, Assignment Prepared.

First conversation (3 min.): Use the theme of ideas to talk and overcome a common objection in your territory (th lec. 12).

Publisher: Good morning, my name is Alberto, and I don't want to take up too much of your time, how are you?

Assistant: Very good, and you? What does he want?

Publisher: I'm glad, I'm also very well. Well, you see, we are talking a little with the people of the community about who Jesus was since we are on dates when the world usually remembers him.

Helper: Well, Jesus was a person who lived a long time ago and who did very good things for others.

Publisher: It's a very good answer, so you believe in Jesus?

Helper: I didn't say that, just that he was a good person, like many good people today. But that's over, and even if he is reminded, like other personalities, that he's fine, we don't have to focus our lives around him.

Publisher: Do you think?

Helper: Of course, tell me, what benefits or what good makes me think of Jesus every day?

Publisher: Well look, let me prove it to you from the Bible... at the beginning of the conversation you said that Jesus is a good person, and he was... but he was also more than that... would you like to read this text? Matthew 16:16.

Helper: Okay, it says there… “Simon Peter answered him: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God”. Well look, I don't know who Simon Peter is and I don't believe in God either, at least not anymore.

Publisher: And I respect you, have you lost faith in God?

Helper: No, rather I look at reality and all the bad things that happen, if there were a God who loves us, so many tragedies wouldn't happen.

Publisher: I understand you perfectly, even a person with faith asks this question at some point or another but you are a coherent and reflective person, surely we can argue that thought and you would see it from another perspective, but if you want another day, I will I said it would be short. Let's go back to the subject of Jesus and I won't take any more time...

Helper: Ok, that sounds good to me, another day you tell me about this aspect... what else happens with Jesus?

Publisher: You have said that your teachings are not useful to you because it was a long time ago and that it has nothing to do with being the son of God because he no longer exists. Good. But from a practical point of view, today, a person can admire another and even imitate him in certain aspects, why?

Helper: Well, it is logical that that person will be an example in many aspects of life, so we imitate them to try to do at least something well like that other person.

Publisher: To the point of following his advice and not his words?

Helper: Yes of course, whatever it takes to improve your life.

Publisher: Jesus, as a good person, a perfect man, and a son of God even if you don't believe in him, wouldn't he be the best example to imitate so that we can do well in life? What example of another person can you think of that is better to imitate?

Helper: Wow, there will be many examples, now I can't think of any, we should look at it...

Publisher: And above all, it would be necessary to see if it is a better example, right?

Assistant:: Yes, exactly.

Publisher: Alright, I'll save that research assignment for the next time we talk, and I'll leave you with an intriguing question to ponder as well. Jesus came to Earth knowing that he was going to die, because he knew that in the future that we will live something will happen. See you next Saturday.
