APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: April 10-16, 2023, Bible Course, Lesson 19 Prepared Assignment.
Bible course (5 min.): lff lesson 09 point 6 (th lec. 19).
Publisher: Very well Ishmael, I see that up to here we have everything clear, we have seen that prayer has a series of requirements and that it has to come from the heart, how beautiful isn't it?
Student: Yes, actually yes. The way a person speaks says a lot about them, and if those words come from the heart more than from the mind, it is obviously full of feelings.
Publisher: Beautiful words that accompany noble feelings, because this is how we have to address God, open our hearts and be sincere to such an extent that we feel liberated because prayer is a gift from God. Let's watch the next video...
Student: The truth is that you get goosebumps when you watch the video, it makes you think that perhaps we don't value the good things we have or that our problems are the most important when you realize that there are people who are having a very bad time...
Publisher: That's right, and for those people who know God, as you are doing, Ishmael, prayer is like a repairing balm. We have seen in the video serious health problems that impede and endanger their own lives, but they have still managed, did you notice what they say?
Student: Yes, God was his way out in the midst of those situations, his source of peace and tranquility...
Publisher: That is why we have said that prayer is a gift from God that gives us the strength we need at the right time to cope with and overcome the toughest problems that can come our way... in a situation like this, your prayer is everything heart…
Student: Sure, they are very deep feelings…
Posted: Yes, but it always has to be that way when you turn to God, no matter how big or small your problem may be, and not just problems, because God wants us to be his friend, and we tell our friends everything, not only problems, but also when we are doing well, that is why our prayers should always come from the heart because in one case or another, it will give us peace and the confidence we need.
Student: And Alberto, of course there are cases in which a health problem can be punctual, but as we saw in the video, that boy has to live with this disease all his life, how can he fight every day? Honestly, you start to think about it and put yourself in his place, and it has to be really difficult...
Publisher: When you have a problem, Ishmael, and you feel very bad, for example, depression and anxiety are mental states that pose serious health problems and it is not something that is cured from one day to the next... in those moments when you are bad , which can have good days and more bad days, it can last more or less time, who do you surround yourself with?
Student: Well, with people who are supportive and help me feel better and give me strength to fight day after day.
Publisher: And if you don't have anyone and you live alone, did you know that loneliness is a problem that affects billions of people?
Student: Well... I could imagine, it would be a very big problem...
Publisher: Having friends, family and people close to you who support you, of course, helps you fight every day, but even if those people are not there, or you are already in the solitude of your home at night, do you know who is always with you? in every step you take, right?
Student: God.
Publisher: Please read the text of Philippians 4:6,7.
Student: Yes of course, it says: “Don't worry about anything. Rather, in any situation, through prayers and supplications and giving thanks, let God know your requests, and the peace of God, which is beyond what any human being can understand, will protect your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ".
Publisher: In this text we can notice several aspects, do you want to cite any?
Student: Well, it says... First of all, we shouldn't worry about anything, what you have told me will always be with us. Then, in any situation, which will also refer to any time and place, and with prayers and pleas, felt as we have seen, will protect and help us.
Publisher: Very good, that's a very good analysis. Note that the peace of God will be with us, that same peace is what this brother feels every day even with the suffering he has.
Student: Yes, I understand, it gives us strength to endure...
Publisher: Even so, you may wonder what appears here, if it does not make the disease or the problem disappear, how does it help us?
Student: That question is normal, because giving us the strength to continue fighting...
Publisher: Exactly, but even so, if you find yourself in that situation, many times you will think contrary things, such as why this is happening to me, it could help me to heal... and it is normal to think these things in moments of weakness. It is curious that for thousands of years, as you can see in the box, the word "Amen" has been said, what does it mean?
Student: You say it means “so be it” or “sure”.
Publisher: Very well, our prayer has to be felt, but not only that, for it to have an effect in our lives we have to have full confidence in our Heavenly Father and Creator Jehovah.
Student: Of course, if we don't have it, we can come to think those things that you have told me.
Publisher: An interesting part of the text we read: "beyond what no human can understand." We may often not understand why certain things happen or affect us, but everything has a purpose, and if we trust in Jehovah, staying straight on the path that leads to life will bring us eternal benefits in the future. Let's go to point 7...
