APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: 13-19-February-2023, First conversation, Lesson 18, Assignment Prepared.
First conversation (3 min.): Use the topic of ideas to talk and overcome a common objection in your territory (th lec. 18).POSTER: Good morning, my name is Maria, I would like to briefly share with you a Bible verse that answers the question, does God listen to prayers?
HOUSEHOLDER: It's not necessary. My church already taught me everything I need to know about prayer, so you can make better use of your time if you move on to the next house.
PUBLISHER: You say that in your church they taught you about prayer, that's good. That speaks well of your spiritual need because there are people who don't feel motivated to learn what the Bible says about prayer and then they think that Jehovah doesn't listen to them.HOUSEHOLD: Jehovah you mean Jesus, I pray to Jesus Christ.
POSTER: Jesus also has a very important role in prayer, in fact he is the mediator between humanity and Jehovah God. If you allow me, I want to read the biblical text of Psalms 65:1 and 2, if you like you can read it here in the Bible.
HOUSEHOLDER: Okay, it says there......
PUBLISHER: Thank you for reading. According to what you read, who is the listener of the sentence?
HOUSEHOLD: In verse 1 he is talking about God, but I think it is Jesus we talk to when we pray.
POSTER: You will remember that when the disciples of Jesus asked Jesus about how they should pray, he taught them with this model prayer that begins by saying: Our Father who art in heaven, did you notice? that Jesus taught that prayers should be addressed to his father Jehovah and not to him
HOUSEHOLD: I had never seen it from that perspective.
PUBLISHER: How interesting, isn't it? You also noticed that there it says that people of all kinds come to the listener of prayer, this is because Jehovah wants people of all kinds to come to him in prayer, while he is always ready to listen to us Do you know the prayer of the Our Father?
HOUSEHOLD: Of course I do by heart, I always pray it.
PUBLISHER: This is because as Psalm 65:2 that we just read says, Jehovah is the hearer of prayer and not another person. But there is much more to learn about prayer, for example, what things can we pray for if it's okay with you? I'd like to visit again to show you the Bible's answer to that question. Is that okay with you?
HOME LOVE: Yes, I'm interested in knowing that answer.
PUBLICATOR: Do you think tomorrow at this same time?
HOUSEHOLDER: Excellent, it seems very good to me, I hope.
