APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY :  November 21-27, 2022, Speech, Lesson  16 , Prepared Assignment.

Talk (5 min.): w13 5/15 8-9 pars. 3-6. Title: Imitate the zeal of Jehovah and Jesus (th lec. 16).

One of the definitions of the word zeal is: «ardent and active interest in a cause or person. It is synonymous with passion, fervor, ardor and enthusiasm." And who can deny that all these terms perfectly describe what Jehovah and Jesus are like. If we read in Isaiah 9:7 we will see the expression with reference to what the government of the son of God will achieve.

LET'S READ ISAIAH 9:7

The expansion of his government and peace will have no end at the Throne of David and in his kingdom, To firmly establish it and sustain it with justice and righteousness, From now and forever. The Zeal of Jehovah of hosts will make it come true.

This verse highlights Jehovah's fervent desire and enthusiasm to save mankind. How can we imitate this example of Jehovah? Well, enthusiastically fulfilling our work of bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God. And sometimes see certain circumstances as positive.

For example, The Pandemic taught us to bring the Good News in ways other than how we dealt with the person. That has made us develop some skills. And of course, the good effect of it has been seen in reaching others that we couldn't reach before. For this reason, we want to be determined to take advantage of any circumstance that comes our way to continue spreading this message of salvation. Have the same zeal that Jehovah has.

Now let us briefly examine Jesus' example of his zeal and perseverance in the Ministry. The situation he faced was not good at all. It came to a painful end to his life here on earth. Now, a detail that is mentioned in a Bible dictionary about zeal is that he goes beyond a simple enthusiasm to do something like the one some fans feel for his sports team.

Here in biblical zeal it refers to something that surrounds the heart with something burning, like it was on fire, something that really wants to remedy a situation with all the necessary momentum. And so it has to do with the good news. That is, do not give up the first time. If we see in Luke 13:6-9, in relation to the Illustration that Jesus used to not give up on the Ministry of Good News.

LET'S READ LUKE 13:6,9.

Then he made this comparison: A man who had a fig tree planted in his vineyard went to look for fruit on it, but found nothing. Then the man who was looking at the vineyard said to me: “Look, I have been coming for three years looking for fruit on this fig tree, but I have not found anything. Cut it off! Why does he have to uselessly occupy the land?. He answered him: Lord, leave her one more year, why am I going to work the land around her and throw manure on her. Yes Later of the perfect fruit; but, if not, you cut it».

This illustration was related to the fruit of the preaching of the Lord Jesus Christ. A small handful of disciples, including the apostles, were the result of the Great Teacher before them. However, there were only six months left when he gave this illustration, which indicated that he was going to do like this man who was going to end up around the fig tree and put manure on it, put compost on it. So it indicated that Jesus was going to intensify the work of bringing the Good News.

It is possible that people in your territory no longer seem to respond to the message, because something can activate that desire to know the truth. Like Jesus, we intensify our work now that we are nearing the end. we want to invite Jehovah and Jesus in their zeal to carry this message out to people so that they know that Jehovah sincerely wants to help them find the truth and be happy for all eternity.
