Watchtower Study, Young Man, Keep Progressing After Your Baptism, Week 3-9 October 2022, Practical Comments and Answers.

Watchtower Study, Young Man, Keep Progressing After Your Baptism, October 3-9, 2022, Comments and Responses.

“Let us grow by love in all things” (EPHE. 4:15).

1. What have many young people achieved so far?

Many young people have studied the Bible a lot, which led them to be convinced that this was the word of God, which is why they have made the decision to dedicate themselves to Jehovah and be baptized.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

They have made the decision to dedicate themselves and be baptized after having studied the Bible for a long time and therefore they are convinced that they have done the right thing. They are now part of Jehovah's spiritual family.

Many young people have managed to convince themselves that the Bible is first the word of God but also how they have been convinced they have wanted to delve into that beautiful author they have managed to make changes in their lives, the speech reflected what many servants of antiquity did but these young they have done exactly the same thing and then also then they have dedicated themselves and baptized Jehovah and well we are going to learn how that will also open wonderful doors for these young people.

Continuing a little with the brother's comment according to the beginning of the Watchtower paragraph, every year we are knowing that our dear young brothers are getting baptized, so this is a sign that they are making very good decisions to serve Jehovah.

2. What will we see in this article?

In this article we will see how young people can continue to progress, and thus reach Christian maturity.

OPTIONAL ANSWER

We will discuss what will help a young person continue to progress toward Christian maturity knowing that Satan is trying to cool their love for Jehovah and turn them away from him.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO PROGRESS SPIRITUALLY

3. What must all Christians do after being baptized?

All of us after being baptized must continue to progress, as the apostle Paul said, we must reach the maturity of an adult man spiritually speaking. Since when we are newly baptized we are compared to a baby who will not be a baby all his life, but will have to grow up, the same thing happens with the servants of God.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

All Christians must progress towards maturity in a spiritual sense, when we start the Christian career we are like a child who makes his parents happy, but cannot remain a baby all his life. This is how Christians are after baptism, we must continue progressing until we reach spiritual maturity.

The Christians of the first century reached maturity in a spiritual sense and it is the objective that we should all have, but especially the newly baptized should not be satisfied with the knowledge they have acquired until they reach baptism, but should strive to continue progressing spiritually.

4. What quality will help you progress spiritually, and why? (Philippians 1:9).

The quality that will help us is the love for our heavenly father, since this love, if we feed it correctly, will grow. Well, if we know Jehovah more we will love him, we will like his personality more and therefore we will want to make him happy and not disappoint him for any reason.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

The text spoke of love becoming more abundant, the love we feel for Jehovah grows as we feed it, with exact knowledge and full discernment. The more we do not know Jehovah the more we will love him, we will like his personality and his way of doing things, we will strive to make him happy by fulfilling his commandments Because we want to satisfy him that he feels comfortable with us.

And he because because the love we feel for Jehovah will impel us to do everything that pleases him and now also to avoid those things that could disappoint him.

And although the text applies to everyone, but since the information now has to do with young people, young people are filled with knowledge in the bone institute, they are constantly learning and the risk would be that the same intellectual activity will be applied to the Christian congregation for a A young man who goes to high school, biblical truths are basic, I mean, you learn that in a moment, but what matters here is that it reaches his heart and sinks in

5, 6. What is another way to nurture our love for Jehovah?

Another way to nurture our love for Jehovah is by getting to know Jesus, his Son. How we know he perfectly reflects the personality of Jehovah, and to know him we must study the four gospels, because there the personality of Jesus is shown, for example he was very accessible, which indicates that Jehovah is also very accessible with us, and For this reason, we must have total confidence in turning to him in prayer, since he will always answer us.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

We have said that love for Jehovah will increase by knowing him better, we know that Jesus is the perfect personification of his father's qualities, that is why it is important to approach him and get to know him, that is why it would be good for everyone, but now especially young people, to have the habit of reading the Bible each day and maintain a close relationship with Jehovah through prayer.

As Hebrews 1:3 says, it is knowing Jesus who is the reflection of the glory of God when we know Jesus better we are going to imitate him in a way of knowing what he was like, reading the gospels we are going to see what an accessible person is Even with children, he made his disciples feel comfortable, and that is why they were open in their way of expressing themselves with him. In addition, he reacts to suffering from people who felt sorry for them and acted in his favor.

Yes, we have here First Peter chapter 5 verse 7 which is something very good for us because we know that Jehovah and Jesus are accessible but what the text tells us is that we cast our concerns on him because he cares about you this is something that we He leaves us very calm when we have a problem because we know that we can trust him and expect him to help us.

We also see a very beautiful aspect of Jehovah's personality and that is that he pitied the people. That is why the Bible says that Jesus was very moved when he saw the crowds that were mistreated and were like sheep without a shepherd, and therefore his father too, since his desire is that no person be destroyed, but that everyone reach the goal. repentance and be saved.

7. Why is it good for you to make friends with mature Christians?

Because in this way our love for Jehovah will grow and we will be able to progress spiritually. In addition, his experience will help us a lot and his advice will always help us make better decisions.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Because that is another way to grow love for Jehovah and progress spiritually, which is the central point of this study, it will help us to serve Jehovah decisively, and taking the example of our mature brothers, we are going to follow him and when taking good decisions will be an important part of our lives because with your experience you will see fewer mistakes.

In proverbs 11:14 it also says expert guidance and we may not be asking for advice but simply being in the company of older brothers does help us.

8. What can you do if you have questions about what the Bible teaches?

Clarify them, for example, in schools a lot is taught on the subject of evolution, and maybe what the teachers say sounds logical, but you have to remember that most likely they have not thoroughly examined the evidence that there is a God . So what should be done is to thoroughly study what the Bible says about it, look for information in the publications and also talk to brothers who perhaps previously believed in evolution.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

If we have doubts, we should not stay with the first thing they tell us, we should thoroughly study what the Bible says and we can also look for information in publications and talk to brothers who believed in evolution and find out their point of view about what convinced them to that in truth the creation is a more logical reasoning.

I do remember a very beautiful phrase that I heard in a speech once, feed your faith and your doubts will starve, just as the paragraph tells us, we have the word of God that for any subject we do study thoroughly and our young people have a very Wake up to be able to do it, they will be completely clear on the subject.

One of Satan's strategies for getting us out of the way in serving Jehovah is doubt. So the best way to clear these doubts is by learning from God and reading the Bible. One of the doubts that may arise is evolution. This theory stains Jehovah's reputation, that is why we must prepare ourselves, since that theory will be heard by young people when they are in their teens. Therefore, it is necessary to thoroughly study what the Bible says and look for information in our publications, for example in the opinions section origin of life of jw.org.

9. What do you learn from Melissa's experience?

I learn that we should not stay with doubts, but rather we should investigate the subject as soon as possible. Well, let us remember that Jehovah is a God who does not want us to serve him blindly.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

In the photographs there is a representation of what happened with this sister, she looked for information that the slave has given us, of course she is better prepared to expose it to others, since she is doing it with tables, with pictures. And in this way we can see that they understood the investigation that he had done, because it is seen that even the professor is listening carefully, which teaches us that we should not be afraid of these issues because if we prepare ourselves in advance, Jehovah will do the rest.

ILLUSTRATION

The illustration shows us that we should not only look for information to clarify our doubts. But also to defend our position as this young man is doing in a class.

Well, we have here a young woman who could be Melisa or another who is preparing to be able to talk about the theory of evolution at school and we see how she is preparing herself in depth, she is using the publications the origin of life and if it is life work of a creator we also see that she has a computer to look for more information the mobile phone with the Bible open and delve into this will not only help her to face her doubts but it will also help her to make a good presentation a good defense based in deep truths.

The little sister's face while she is explaining it says it all, she is convinced because her preparation has taken effect.

Image Series: 1. A young sister searches for information in the brochures “Is Life the Work of a Creator?” and “The origin of life. Five questions worthy of analysis”. 2. The young woman makes a presentation at school in front of her teacher and her classmates.

How can you prepare for when the theory of evolution is discussed in school? (See paragraphs 8 and 9).

10, 11. What will help you resist temptations? (1 Thessalonians 4:3, 4).

What we must do is go to Jehovah for help, and ask him for the strength to resist temptations. What also helps us is reading the Bible daily and also asking for help from our spiritually mature parents or siblings who can guide us on the right path.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

The suggestion that was given is that when some temptation or immoral desire arises, it is important that as young people you tell Jehovah how you feel and ask them for the strength to endure. It is also important to read the Bible every day, that will give us spiritual energy, it is also important to tell your parents what you are going through and if they are not Christians, then tell a brother or sister in truth.

Well, something we can do is pray to Jehovah and tell him how we feel and ask him for strength as Psalm 103:13 and 14 says, Jehovah knows what we are made of, knows that we are dust that we have weaknesses and that he is not there to judge us but to help us. serve you.

He also said that everyone should know how to control their own body, one thing that will help to know how to control your body is to know the limitations they have, and adolescents have to know that during this time there are many hormonal imbalances, many ups and downs, and knowing their limitations It will help in trying to trust, for example, in their parents as well, unlike this world that says that parents are from one planet, the children are my other Jehovah says the opposite, says that the other way around, young people have to try to lean on their family nucleus.

12. What will help you make good decisions?

As the sister mentioned in the paragraph says, we should not limit ourselves to following rules, but we must come to understand how Jehovah sees things, for example, when we read the Bible we can ask ourselves: What does this story teach me about Jehovah's way of thinking? ? Do I find here some principle that helps me to do what is right? What would be the results if I am guided by that principle? That way we will undoubtedly make decisions that make our heavenly father happy.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Pay attention to the voice of Jehovah and for this we have to read and meditate on his word and this will lead us to make good decisions and help us to be truly happy as Psalm 19:7 says his law is perfect reliable and will make us wise Well, what better teacher could we have than our own creator.

The Text that appears here in paragraph 12, is proverbs 22:3. Where he mentions that the prudent see the danger and hide. Therefore, in the case of young people, they have little experience in life and that is why they need to make the right decisions, and how do we do it? An interesting point that he mentions is that we must understand that there is no Biblical law for each situation, and at the end of the paragraph it says rather that one has to learn things based on Biblical principles, they are two interesting things that are worth reviewing, what is a law and what is a Biblical principle, the laws disappear if Jehovah you want it, but the principle remains. Let us remember that some laws that Jehovah has given have been changed, but the principles are being maintained.

Isaiah 48:17, 18 | Well, there he teaches one thing that neither young people nor all Christians must ever forget, and that is that everything that Jehovah tells us and teaches us is always for our own benefit and the result would be as he says in the end that we would be like a river and justice like the waves of the sea in our lives.

13. How can good friends influence you? (Proverbs 13:20).

The Bible says that if we walk with wise men we will become wise, because they have a great influence on our spiritual growth and as it is mentioned in the case of this sister, studying the Watchtower with another sister encouraged her to comment in the meetings and little by little she left taking her personal study and prayer more seriously strengthened her in her relationship with God.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Well, looking for friends who love Jehovah and as we saw in paragraph 7, your friends greatly influence you and your spiritual growth.

To progress spiritually talking about good friends, the case of a sister named Sara is put, she says that she found good friends when she needed it most, since a friend helped her every week to study the Watchtower and another friend encouraged her to comment in meetings. So those kinds of friendships help us progress spiritually.

ILLUSTRATION

If here we see the type of friend that this sister chose and how it was helping her to have a consideration of The Watchtower, The Watchtower makes us know better what the Bible says and the Bible makes us know the kind of God who is Jehovah and Jehovah is a happy God, so if we do not let Jehovah's influence exert our lives there will be another influence, that of the world, which is what is going to make us feel how this world is and that is why we must worry because everything that influences in our life is related to Jehovah with his promises and that we can enjoy the happiness that characterizes him.

We see in this photograph the representation of two sisters who are preparing to study the Watchtower, without a doubt seeing where they can comment or some point of interest that is worth highlighting.

Two young sisters study an article in “The Watchtower” together.

What kind of friends did this young sister choose? (See paragraph 13).

14. How did Julien get good friends?

Brother Julien got good friends in preaching, who were very enthusiastic and helped him see that preaching is a lot of fun, and he didn't limit himself to just looking for friends his own age.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

The brother comments that when he was younger he made good friends in the preaching work, as they helped him see that in preaching the company of the brothers can be greatly enjoyed. So he began to think about the goal of serving full time and later when he entered Bethel he also got good friends, who taught him to better choose his entertainment and that greatly improved his friendship with Jehovah.

Well, one of the ways was preaching by sharing this time with enthusiastic brothers because he came to enjoy preaching more, even setting the goal of serving full time.

Something this brother says is that he had only looked for friends his own age and this is a mistake because, for example, Jonathan and David and other servants from the past had a lot of friendship and helped them, so when he entered betel they helped him and he came to choose better his entertainment and improved his friendship with Jehovah and of course this is important truth because Satan wants us not to go towards the experience but not to have experience and experience is also given by age.

15. What warning did Paul give Timothy? (2 Timothy 2:20-22).

He warned him that there would also be bad influences within the congregation, so he should stay away from those people.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

As we saw in the text he spoke of honorable utensils and others that were not. In other words, within the congregation not everyone is spiritual and not everyone is a good influence, which is why Paul advised Timothy to know how to differentiate that. As the end of verse 21 said In that way Seek justice Love Peace the end of the verse said To do all kinds of good deeds, that's why we must be careful when choosing good friends within the congregation, since that our friendship with Jehovah is something very valuable, it is difficult to cultivate it and we must not allow it to be damaged by someone even if they are within the congregation who does not sincerely love Jehovah.

Yes, what we have seen so far is that friends have a great influence on us and we must look to the congregation, but it is true that this is a challenge for young people, sometimes in the congregation there are no young people and then you can be tempted to go out with any friend, then we have seen that what is important above all in the relationship we have with Jehovah.

SETTING GOALS HELPS YOU PROGRESS IN A SPIRITUAL SENSE

16. What goals could you set for yourself?

We can set goals to improve our study habits, to pray more often and from the bottom of our hearts, another goal is to choose better entertainment and manage our time better.

OPTIONAL ANSWER

The suggestions that the paragraph gives us is to improve our personal reading habits and the reading of the Bible, it also talks about our prayers to Jehovah and the frequency with which we do it and finally it mentions about entertainment and knowing how to use our time properly.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

And if we do not set spiritual goals, not only will our relationship with Jehovah be strengthened spiritually, but at the same time we will make Jehovah happy.

And it is that going back to the example of the beginning, a baby feeds on milk but cannot spend its whole life drinking milk or porridge because otherwise it will not grow, that is why it is important to have good study habits and as Psalm 1:2 and 3 says, it will be then like a strong sturdy tree planted by streams of water and it will be fruitful.

And perhaps we need to be more careful with entertainment and choose what you choose and learn to use time better, just as Ephesians 5 from 15 to 16 says, take advantage of time in the best way because the days are bad.

17. Why will you gain if you help others?

Because in this way I will be able to grow as a Christian since, as Jesus said, there is more happiness in giving than in receiving, and what I can do for others. For example, helping elderly or sick siblings with some errands or helping them manage their electronic devices, and one of the best ways to help others is to carry the message of the good news.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Young brothers can also become a Ministerial Servant to serve the brothers or participate in some facet of full-time ministry as a pioneer or assist in some Kingdom Hall or Assembly Hall construction.

ILLUSTRATION

And here we can see in the photograph that a question is asked: What goal did this young sister set? Helping an older sister, since she undoubtedly has many years of service and would not mind someone young helping her with shopping, for example, something that has nothing to do with serving Jehovah in terms of preaching or biblical teaching but yes of love to our brothers.

One of the sisters in the previous photo helps an older sister to do the shopping.

What goal did this young sister set for herself? (See paragraph 17).

18. How does full-time service help you grow spiritually?

It helps a lot because those who are pioneers can go to the School of Kingdom Evangelizers or Bethel and also participate in construction projects

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

How can we see in the paragraph, when we help others we grow as a Christian, since we can be of help to our brothers who are sick or elderly or maybe we can help our brothers who do not know how to use the electronic device, It can also be a goal is to become a Ministerial servant to serve the brothers or participate in some facet in the Ministry full time.

We can also see in the paragraph the experience of a young sister named Kaitlyn, as she mentions that preaching with experienced brothers and sisters was key in her spiritual growth, since thanks to the support of her brothers she was able to get baptized, for the example of the older brothers helped her and encouraged her to deepen her study of the Bible and improve as a teacher.

19. What blessings will you receive if you continue to progress spiritually?

Our young brothers will have the satisfaction of using their youth in worthwhile goals, they will not suffer painful consequences for bad decisions and they will be very happy and do well in life, since in our young brothers they will be a good example for other brothers both young and old, and most important of all that they will have Jehovah's approval and become his friend.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Proverbs 16:3 quoted in the paragraph says leave everything you do in the hands of Jehovah and your plans will turn out well, then a blessing that young people will receive is that they will be happy and they will do well in life.

The text of Proverbs 23:15 and 16 caught my attention because there it mentions that if our heart becomes wise, the heart of the Lord will rejoice and in verse 16 it mentions that, in the depths of his being will be filled with joy, and this is something very encouraging for every servant of Jehovah both young and old, since knowing that if we act in a correct way we will deepen the heart of Jehovah and that is something that every servant of Jehovah wants, which is a very great blessing and satisfaction that every servant of Jehovah seeks.

WHAT WOULD YOU ANSWER?

Why should we progress spiritually after being baptized?

Because only in this way will we reach the maturity of an adult man in a spiritual sense, because we cannot remain as spiritual children.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Because spiritual maturity must be reached, as we saw in the case of a child, they are expected to grow naturally to be an adult, which is a normal process, and a Christian must also reach spiritual maturity, and that is normal in spiritual sense.

As we saw in paragraph 2, Satan will try to keep you from growing spiritually. One of his weapons is doubt. He wants us to stop trusting what the Bible teaches.

What can young people do to progress spiritually?

They should nurture their love for Jehovah, clarify any doubts that may arise, fight against evil desires, let Bible principles guide their lives, find friends who love Jehovah, and set goals that are truly worthwhile.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Increase your love for Jehovah, being good students of the Bible, knowing God better and loving him more and more, fighting against evil desires, praying to Jehovah when doubts arise and asking him for strength to resist.

Study thoroughly what the Word of God says. Find information in our publications. Talk to mature siblings.

Pray to Jehovah, tell him how we feel, ask him for strength, and study the Bible. Let us remember that he is there to help us, since he never judges us. The Bible can also help us progress spiritually.

Why do goals help us progress spiritually?

Because you are strengthen our faith and help us to be better Christians. For example, if we set ourselves the goal of helping others, we will be growing as Christians and deciding to serve full time will open the door to many more opportunities.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Because they give us many opportunities to progress spiritually. If you pioneer, you could go to the School for Kingdom Evangelizers or Bethel, or participate in construction projects.

The goals help us take steps to reach spiritual maturity, among those goals is the full-time service that opens many doors to serve our brothers and in this way we will be very useful within the Organization of Jehovah.

They will help you progress because it is what Jehovah wants so Jehovah will bless you and without a doubt if you make an effort to serve Jehovah in the best way you will have many blessings that will help you continue progressing to set more goals and that will allow you to grow spiritually and become a mature person.
