How was the relationship between the sister and Shane progressing?

At first the relationship was good, but over time the sister saw certain habits of Shane, and the sister did not like his behavior.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

As the sister says, everything was going perfectly, apparently they had the same goals since they preached together, they had fun together, they spent time together and they talked a lot on the phone.

It was going very well, since as she says, everything was "perfect", they talked a lot on the phone, he looked very spiritual, since we see them both preaching, they had normal dating dates, and everything led her to think that he he was the one.

What did the sister realize as she got to know Shane better?

That he had to talk to Shane about the things that were bothering him, and the two decided to end the relationship.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

One of the first things he realized was that Shane had a gambling addiction as there were things he had to prioritize but he spent more time watching games on TV.

She also realized that they did not share the same goals since the brother's goal was focused on acquiring a new car while the sister was concerned about her spirituality.

She began to see certain attitudes, for example, first we see that she goes to visit him at her parents' house, the boyfriend's parents are very busy, that she even helps them, but he was very comfortable watching a soccer game

How did her parents help her, and what wise decision did she make?

They advised her and helped her make a decision by giving her a Bible verse.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

As the sister says, she thought that her parents were going to force her to make a decision, but that was not the case, what they gave her was advice from the Bible, for example, the father spoke about what Jesus said that one should calculate expenses and the mother told him She said that everything will be fine even if she won't marry the brother.

Another important thing that the parents did is that they encouraged her to talk to her boyfriend about the things that worried her and then left her to make her own decision.

What we learn from all this is that we do not let our feelings for the other person cloud our judgment that we always have our parents who can help us by giving us advice and that we should not rush as in the video after the sister found a brother who had the same spiritual goals as her.

Well, for example, her mother gave her all her support, she did not force her to make a drastic decision, but told her that if this boy was not for her, she would be fine, also with the Bible her father reminded her of what he said Jesus what had to be done when building a tower, which was to calculate the expenses, that is, in her case to see if in fact this person was the one for her, so she decided to talk to Shane and they ended the relationship because it was the best.
