Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

He counsels older women as mothers and younger women as sisters (1 Tim. 5:1, 2).
For some Christian women, the main opportunity to be with other brothers is in the meetings. So we want to take advantage of these occasions to welcome them, talk to them and show them that we care about them. Let's do like Jesus and take time to be with our sisters (Luke 10:38-42). Maybe we can invite them over to our house for something simple to eat or spend some time together. On those occasions, let us try to talk about uplifting things (Rom. 1:11, 12). In this, it is important that the elders have the same attitude as Jesus. He knew that for some, being single is not easy. But he made it clear that the key to eternal happiness is neither getting married nor having children, but rather putting Jehovah's service first in life.—Matt. 19:12; Luke 11:27, 28. Elders above all should treat Christian women as their spiritual mothers and sisters. They have to make an effort to carve out time before or after meetings to talk to them. w20.09 21, 22 paras. 7-9
In what situations might sisters need you to stand up for them and help them?
In certain situations, it may be that some sisters need someone to defend and help them (Is. 1:17). For example, a widowed or divorced sister may need someone to speak for her or help her with some of the chores her husband used to handle. An older sister may need help talking to doctors. And a pioneer who helps the organization in other ways may need someone to defend her if she is criticized for not preaching as much as other pioneers. What can we do for them? Let's go back to the example of Jesus.
According to Mark 14:3-9, how did Jesus defend Mary?
Jesus did not hesitate to speak for his spiritual sisters when they were misunderstood. For example, he defended Mary when Martha criticized her (Luke 10:38-42). And so did she when others rebuked her because they thought she had done something wrong (read Mark 14:3-9). Jesus knew why he had done it. So he praised her with these words: “You have done a very good thing for me. […] She did what she could.” In fact, he even prophesied: “In all the world, wherever the good news is preached, what this woman did will also be told.” And that is exactly what this article is doing here. How much this must have reassured Maria! And how beautiful that Jesus related his generosity to the worldwide reach of his preaching.
