Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

They all abandoned him and fled (Mark 14:50).
How did Jesus treat his apostles when they went through times of discouragement? Let's take a look at something he did shortly after he was resurrected. He sent some female disciples to tell the apostles that he had risen. He told them: “Don't be afraid. Go tell my brothers” (Matt. 28:10a). Although they had abandoned him, notice that Jesus did not reject them, but continued to call them "my brothers." Jesus imitated Jehovah by being compassionate and willing to forgive (2 Kings 13:23). We also care a lot about those who have stopped preaching. They are still our brothers, and we love them. We do not forget all that they did for Jehovah in the past, some even for decades (Heb. 6:10). We miss them dearly (Luke 15:4-7). Today we can also invite the inactive to attend the congregation meetings. And if we see an inactive enter the Kingdom Hall, let us approach and give him a warm welcome. w20.11 6 paras. 14-17
What else must we do to teach others to obey Jesus' commands?
What else must we do to teach others to obey Jesus' commands? We have to help the student to develop the desire to make disciples. Some students tremble at the thought of participating in the preaching work. Therefore, we have to patiently help them to better understand the truths of the Bible so that they can have a strong faith, and thus their hearts impel them to preach. What can we do to help them feel like talking about the good news?
How can we help the student to have the desire to preach the good news?
Perhaps we can ask the student questions like these: “How would you say your life has improved since you accepted the Kingdom message? Do you think other people need to hear it? What can you do for them?” (Prov. 3:27; Matt. 9:37, 38). Let's show him the tracts in the teaching kit and ask him which ones he thinks his family, friends, or co-workers would like. Let's give him a few of the ones he chooses and practice with him so he learns how to offer them in a nice way. And, of course, when he becomes an unbaptized publisher, let us stay by his side to guide him (Eccl. 4:9, 10; Luke 6:40).
