Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

I will make you discerning and teach you the way you should go (Ps. 32:8).

Jehovah loves to educate his people. He wants his beloved children to know him, love him and live forever. All this is possible only thanks to the education that he gives us (John 17:3). In the first century, he used the Christian congregation to educate his people (Col. 1:9, 10). And much of the help was given through the spirit, the “helper” that Jesus had promised (John 14:16). This helped the disciples to understand the Word of God and reminded them of all the things that Jesus said and did, which were later recorded in the Gospels. This knowledge strengthened the faith of those Christians, as well as their love for God, his Son and his brothers. Jehovah foretold that, “in the last part of the days,” people from all nations would climb his symbolic mountain to teach them his ways (Isa. 2:2, 3). Today we see this prophecy fulfilled. w20.10 24 paras. 14, 15

What methods has Jehovah's organization used to spread the good news?

To spread the good news, Jehovah's organization has used and continues to use the best tools available. Among these we can mention printed publications, the “Photo-Drama of Creation”, gramophones, loudspeaker cars, radio programs and, more recently, digital technology. Also, no one in history has translated into as many languages as God's organization does. And why do we do it? For all kinds of people to hear the good news in their own language. Jehovah is impartial and foretold that the good news would be told “to every nation, kindred, tongue and people” (Rev. 14:6, 7). He wants the Kingdom message to be available to all people.

And what about the people who are hard to reach, perhaps because they live in high-security buildings? In order to reach them, Jehovah helped his organization to begin testing various methods of public preaching. For example, in 2001 the Governing Body approved the use of carts and other displays in France, and later in other places as well. The results were positive. In 2011, a pilot program was launched in one of the busiest areas of New York City (United States). In the first year, 102,129 books and 68,911 magazines were left with people, and 4,701 people requested a Bible course. It was clear that the holy spirit supported this work. For this reason, the Governing Body has approved the use of publication racks throughout the world.

What can we do to improve in our Christian ministry?

What we can do. Let us make the most of the training that Jehovah gives us in the meetings. Let's go out regularly with our preaching group. If there is any aspect in which we need to improve, the brothers in the group can help us and encourage us with their excellent example. Let's keep preaching despite the difficulties. As the theme text of this article reminds us, we do God's will with the help of the holy spirit, not with our own strength (Zech. 4:6). After all, this is the work of God.
