Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022
Sunday July 17, 2022
We have not stopped praying for you (Col. 1:9).
As part of preparing to lead a Bible class, we should tell Jehovah about the student and his needs. Let us ask him to help us use the Bible in a way that touches his heart. Let's not forget that our goal is to help you get to baptism. The student must also communicate with Jehovah by listening to him and talking with him. The way to hear it is by reading the Bible every day (Josh. 1:8; Ps. 1:1-3). And he can talk to Jehovah by praying to him every day. Therefore, let us pray from the heart at the beginning and end of each class, and mention the student. He thus he will learn to pray from the heart and address Jehovah in the name of Jesus Christ (Matt. 6: 9; John 15:16). Imagine how close you will get to God when you hear him reading the Bible every day and talk to him in prayer (Jas. 4:8). w20.10 8 para. 8; 9 paras.
According to Hebrews 10:24, 25, what will help the student to progress?
We all want students to get to baptism. One important way to do this is by encouraging them to attend meetings. Experienced teachers say that students who attend meetings early make the fastest progress (Ps. 111:1). Some explain to their students that they will receive half of their Bible education in their weekly classes and the other half in meetings. Let's read Hebrews 10:24, 25 with the student and explain the benefits of attending the meetings (read it). We can also show you the video What are our meetings like? Let's help the student make it a goal to attend all meetings.
What can we do to encourage the student to go to all the meetings?
What can we do if the student has not yet attended a meeting or only attends once in a while? Let's excitedly tell him about something we learned at a recent meeting. That's more effective than just inviting them to attend. Let's give him a copy of The Watchtower or the Activity Guide that is currently being studied. Let's show him what will be discussed at the next meeting and ask him which part he finds most interesting. What he experiences at the first meeting will far exceed anything he has seen or heard at any other religious meeting (1 Cor. 14:24, 25). He will meet other people who are a good example for him and who will help him get to baptism.
