What good things had Absalom received?
He was handsome and had many abilities, he was born into a rich and influential family, he attracted everyone's gaze wherever he went.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Like David, he was handsome and attractive. He had many abilities. He was born into a wealthy and influential family.
Absalom, first of all, was born into a rich and influential family, he was also handsome and had many skills, which is why he always attracted attention wherever he went.
How did you use those gifts?
Absalom made people think that he was interested in the people who came to David, but in reality he was only interested in himself and staying in power.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Those gifts he used very badly as he became arrogant. At first glance, Absalon was interested in the people who came to David, but in reality he was only interested in himself. He loved being the center of attention.
He used them for bad, because since he loved being the center of attention, he began to use his intelligence to win over the people and thus usurp his father's throne.
What can we do to not become arrogant? (Gal 5:26).
Not only think of ourselves, we must also think of others and know what they want and help them.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
We must stay humble. Don't be self-centered and take care of others. Not envying others. And as Galatians 5:26 says, not fostering competition with each other.
What we must do is cultivate humility, and not believe ourselves superior to others because of the assets or the position we occupy, but rather instead, we have to cultivate modesty and begin to take an interest in the interests of others.
