1. What invitation does Jehovah extend to you?
Jehovah is inviting you to be his friend. Some may find it hard to think of making friends with someone they can't see, least of all with God. But he has left us in his Word, the Bible, everything we need to know so that we can approach him.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
In James 4:8 Jehovah is telling us that he wants us to be his friends, he extends this invitation to us and for this we have to purify our hearts, dress ourselves in the new Christian personality that honors God.
Jehovah wants us to become friends with Him, and although it may be difficult since we do not see or go out with Him, He has left us His Word, the Bible, and if we study it, we know what God is like and what things please Him in order to be friends of the.
In James 4:8, Jehovah invites us to draw close to him, that is, to be his friends. Although we cannot see him, we have his Word, the Bible, to know everything we need about his personality and with that, get closer to him. Our friendship grows stronger as we get to know him better even though we can't see him.
2. Why is Jehovah the best friend you can have?
Jehovah loves him more than anyone. He wants you to be happy and to come to him whenever you need to.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Because there is no one who cares more about us than Him. Jehovah wants us to be happy and cast all our worries on him as 1 Peter 5:7 says.
He is the person who loves us the most. He wants our happiness and that when we need it we go to him. He is always willing to support us, comfort us and listen to us.
3. What does Jehovah expect of his friends?
Jehovah expects his friends to try to do the things that he considers good and to avoid doing the things that he considers bad.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Jehovah expects his friends to be righteous and do things according to his will, because although God loves all people in general, he has a closer relationship with those people who live according to his Word.
That his friends try to do the things that he considers good and avoid doing the things that he considers dirty. He is very understanding and accepts when we try our best to please him.
4. Abraham was a friend of Jehovah
Read about Abraham in Genesis 12:1-4 and discuss the following:
What did Jehovah ask of Abraham?
He asked her to leave her country and leave her relatives and her home.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Abraham's account gives us an idea of what it means to be a friend of Jehovah.
Jehovah told Abram to leave everything and go to another country that he knew nothing about. Therefore, it is an important decision, to leave behind everything you know and love to go to a place that you do not know and you do not know what will happen and with the age that Abraham was.
What did Jehovah promise him?
He promised that he would bless those who bless him and curse those who curse them. He also promised him that all families would be blessed through him.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
That he was going to bless it and make it a great nation. Through him all the families of the earth would be blessed.
Jehovah promised him that he would make him a great nation, bless him, and make his name great. Anyone who messed with him would be cursed and all the families of the earth would be blessed through him.
What did Abraham do after receiving Jehovah's instructions?
Abram did as Jehovah told him and went away, and Lot went with him.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
He obeyed and left his country with his family even though he was 75 years old.
Well, Abraham did as Jehovah had commanded him, without hesitation, he went with Lot, when he was already 75 years old. Abraham did not doubt his decision and did as God entrusted him.
5. What Jehovah asks of his friends
What do you expect from your friends?
That they support me and always be for me in the good times and the bad, when I need it most.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Have good communication, help each other, be available when you need it most.
We can expect many things from our friends, for example, that they be good people and be there with us when we need them, that we can trust them and be supportive when we are down.
Read 1 John 5:3 and discuss the following:
What does Jehovah expect of his friends?
That they obey his commandments.

Jehovah expects his friends to love him too, as God loves us and for this, he expects us to obey his commandments as 1 John 5:3 says, since these are not a burden, on the contrary, he helps us to lead happy lives without so many problems.
Read Isaiah 48:17, 18 and discuss the following:
Why does Jehovah ask his friends to make changes?
Because when we make changes we are obeying Jehovah.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
So that life goes well for us and nothing bad happens to us.
As you have read in Isaiah 48:17,18, because these changes are for our own good. To obey God, to be his friend and to love him we have to have a clean conduct, and for this we may need to make changes that lead us to be better people.
6. What Jehovah does for his friends
Questions after the video, "Jehovah Came to Rescue Me":
What has Jehovah done to help the woman in the video deal with her negative thoughts and emotions?
He helped him by making his word known through the brothers of the congregation, so he was able to get to know the congregation and was able to fight against all his bad emotions and bad thoughts.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
By studying the Bible, she understood that Jehovah wanted to take her by the hand and help her. In the Kingdom hall she was her, she received well from her and the promises of Jehovah encouraged her.
Jehovah was her refuge, he saved her from that horrible situation that she lived through and is her current sustenance when those horrible memories come back to her mind.
Read Isaiah 41:10, 13 and discuss the following:

He promises that with his right hand of justice he will uphold them.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Help them when they feel scared or distressed. Take them by the hand so they feel safe.
Jehovah promises us, as we have read in Isaiah 41:10,13. May God help us, he will hold our right hand and we will never feel afraid because Jehovah is always with us, he will give us the strength we need to overcome any situation no matter how difficult it may be.
Do you think Jehovah can be a good friend? Why?
Yes, he can help us when we are afraid, distressed, we have no strength, he will always be with us.

How can we communicate with Jehovah?
We can communicate with Jehovah through prayer.

How does Jehovah communicate with us?
He communicates with us with the prayers we pray to him, he listens to us and understands us.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Through its truth found in the Bible.
Jehovah communicates with us, as we see in the image, through his living Word, the Bible.
WHAT SOME SAY: "It is impossible to be a friend of God."
What text would you use to show that we can be Jehovah's friends?
I would use the text of Isaiah 41:10, 13, this text speaks of the fact that Jehovah, being our friend, will always be with us and will sustain us.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
We could use the texts, Psalm 25:14, James 4:8, Proverbs 3:32.
As we have previously read in Proverbs 3:32, this text makes it clear to us that Jehovah has a close friendship with people who are upright and obey his commandments.
Review
How does Jehovah help his friends?
Jehovah helps his friends by receiving all their concerns, because he cares about you. Jehovah is always ready to support, comfort and listen to his friends.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Jehovah grabs his friends by the right hand so that they never feel afraid or unprotected because God is always there with them, in any situation, especially in difficult times, being their main support.
Why does Jehovah tell his friends to make changes?
Because when we make changes we are obeying Jehovah.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
So that nothing bad happens to us, so that we are protected and we do well in life.
The changes that Jehovah asks for, his commandments are not a burden as we have seen, but are for our good, so that we have happier lives and without as many problems as the current ones, and this in turn allows us to have a close relationship of friendship with Jehovah.
Do you think that Jehovah expects too much from his friends? Why do you think so?
That they obey him and his commandments.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
He is very understanding and accepts what we can give wholeheartedly.
Jehovah does not ask us for anything beyond what we can give. What God asks of us is for our good, in this way we love Him by being obedient to Him and He loves us. God does not expect us to do extraordinary things, only that we obey his commandments, which were established for our good.
