Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

Their strength will depend on their remaining calm and confident (Isa. 30:15).
The apostles had clear proof that Jehovah was with them, since he had given them power to perform miracles (Acts 5:12-16; 6:8). Although this is not our case today, Jehovah through his Word lovingly assures us that he will give us his approval and his spirit if we suffer for the sake of justice (1 Pet. 3:14; 4:14) . So instead of dwelling on how we will react in the future if we are persecuted, we had better focus on what we can do now so that we can have more and more confidence that Jehovah can help and save us. We must remember the promise of Jesus: "I will give you words and wisdom that all his opponents together will not be able to refute or contradict." Furthermore, we have this guarantee: “By your endurance your life will be saved” (Luke 21:12-19). And let us not forget that when a faithful servant of his dies, Jehovah remembers even the smallest detail about him and will resurrect him. w21.01 4 para. 12
How can we find authentic protection?
2) Trust in Jehovah, not in yourself. In the eighth century before our era, the people of Judah were so afraid that the Assyrians would attack them and end up as their slaves that they asked Egypt for help (Isa. 30:1, 2). Jehovah warned them that this path would lead to disaster (Isa. 30:7, 12, 13). Through Isaiah, Jehovah told his people how to find authentic protection. Isaiah said, “Your strength will depend on your keeping calm and showing confidence” in Jehovah.—Isa. 30:15b.
Name some situations in which we can show confidence in Jehovah.
Let's look at some situations in which we can show that we trust in Jehovah. Imagine that he is offered a very well paid job but it will take up a lot of his time and affect his spiritual activities. Or perhaps a co-worker shows romantic interest in him but he is not a baptized Witness. A family member you love very much may even give you this ultimatum: "Choose: either your God or me." Facing these situations is not easy, but in each case Jehovah gives us the guidance we need (Matt. 6:33; 10:37; 1 Cor. 7:39). Now, will we show confidence in him and follow his lead?
