APLPLY YOUR SELFTO THE FIELD MINISTRY: March 28 to April 3, 2022, Speech, Lesson 13, Prepared Assignment.
Speech (5 mins.): km 1/03 1. Title: A task that requires humility (th lec. 13).
Can you imagine when we can go back to preaching from house to house? Obviously that is something that all of us are waiting for, we may even ask ourselves, Am I ready to go out to the ministry again? The answer is yes, that's why It is convenient to review everything we need to preach, we may think about the tools or ideas that we have at our disposal, but it would also be good to review the qualities that we must have, one of them is humility.
And why should we be humble when preaching? We may ask ourselves that, but humility is a quality that allows us to endure unpleasant situations, let us just remember that in preaching we may meet people who will treat us with little kindness, for Therefore, humility is needed to continue preaching despite such treatment.
Now, how can we show humility in this situation? Imitating the example of Jesus as mentioned in 1 Peter 2:21-23, as we can see, here we are explained how to respond to inconsiderate treatment, basically not returning the mistreatment they give us, but compensating. with a good positive attitude, for example we have heard experiences of people who responded badly to a publisher, but seeing that instead of arguing or responding in a bad way, the witness reacted with a smile and a word, what did that achieve? Well, the next time they visited him, now instead the person was more willing to listen and some even accepted a Bible course.
On the other hand, humility helps us not to be arrogant in the ministry, it helps to avoid thinking that our knowledge is a reason to belittle others or refer to those we preach in derogatory terms, rather, the Word of God advises us in Titus 3:2 the following when, being humble of heart, like Jesus, we have an uplifting effect on others and add appeal to our message.
As we have seen, humility helps us persevere in difficult territory, it can soften the unreceptive, and it draws others to the Kingdom message, but most important of all, it pleases Jehovah who has a special regard for those who show This quality, as mentioned at the end of 1 Peter 5:5, without a doubt, this reminder will help us when we return to preach from house to house to show humility before those we talk to.
