Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

Husbands, continue to live with them according to knowledge. Honor them as a weaker vessel, the feminine (1 Pet. 3:7).

A householder can demonstrate humility in many ways. For example, you don't expect your wife and children to be perfect. Pay attention to the opinions of his family members, even if he doesn't agree with them. In addition, a humble man is willing to do housework, even if where he lives it is thought that these are women's things. This can be quite a challenge. Why? A sister named Rachel says, “Where I come from, if a man helps his wife wash the dishes or clean the house, his neighbors and relatives will question whether he is 'a real man.' They will think that he cannot control his wife.” If many people where you live think the same, remember that Jesus washed the feet of his disciples even though that was considered slave labor.A good family head will worry not about looking good, but about making his family feel good. w21.02 2 para. 3; 4 para. eleven

How can a family head take care of the spiritual needs of his family?

Address the spiritual needs of your family. Like his Father, Jesus was concerned that his followers maintain a strong faith (Matt. 5:3, 6; Mark 6:34). Similarly, for a householder, the most important thing is that his family maintain a good relationship with Jehovah. (Deut. 6:6-9). To accomplish this, he must ensure that he and his family read and study the Bible, attend meetings, preach, and strive to maintain good friendship with Jehovah.

How can a head of a family attend to the emotional needs of his family?

Address the emotional needs of your family. Jehovah told Jesus in front of others that he loved him (Matt. 3:17). Jesus showed his love for his followers by the things he did and said. In turn, they told him that they loved him (John 15:9, 12, 13; 21:16). A householder can show his wife and children that he loves them by the things he does; for example, study the Bible with them. You should also tell them that you love and value them, and praise them in front of others when appropriate (Prov. 31:28, 29).
