APLPLY YOUR SELFTO THE FIELD MINISTRY: February 14-20, 2022, First Conversation, Lesson .11 assignment prepared.

First Conversation (3 mins): Use the conversation ideas. Then offer a Bible study using the Enjoy Life brochure (th lesson 11).

PUBLISHER: Good afternoon Juan. We haven't seen each other and talked in a long time. How's everything? How about the family?

HOUSEHOLDER: Good afternoon Alberto. Well, a lot has happened in the last few months and years. But thank God, my family is fine and so am I. Perhaps with some problem more than another before this pandemic but fine. How are you, Alberto?

PUBLISHER: I am very glad to hear this Juan. A few weeks ago my wife and I remembered you and wondered how you were doing. We are also fine, we have seen the hand of God that has helped us with all the problems that have arisen due to the pandemic.

HOUSEHOLDER: That's good, Alberto. I'm very happy for you, say hi to your wife, I haven't seen her for a long time.

PUBLISHER: I'll give them to you Juan.

HOUSEHOLD: You have told me that you have seen the hand of God with this pandemic, in what sense?

PUBLISHER: Well look Albero. You know that I am a witness, and with everything that has happened we have seen how God cares about my family and me, and how his advice has helped us escape from all this pandemic and chaos that has been created.

HOUSEHOLDER: How are you so sure that it was God?

PUBLISHER: When you study the Bible conscientiously, you realize that you are doing well in life because you are paying attention to God and he helps you… would you like to read a text from the Bible?

HOUSEHOLDER: Okay, if you show me...

PUBLISHER: Yes, I have it over here… it's Matthew 10:29-31. Whenever you want.

HOUSEHOLDER: It says… “Two sparrows are sold for a small coin, isn't that right? However, not one of them falls to the ground without his Father knowing about it. But in your case, even the hairs on his head are all numbered. So don't be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.”

PUBLISHER: What has caught your attention the most?

HOUSEHOLDER: I don't know how many hairs I have, if God knows...

PUBLISHER: Doesn't that mean he cares about us?

HOUSEHOLDER: Well, yes. This text is curious.

PUBLISHER: As curious as it is true. He knows us so well that he cares a lot about us. And he tells us not to be afraid, because as long as we are, we can go to our heavenly Father, to God, and he will help us.

HOUSEHOLDER: Sure, but for that you have to go to him.

PUBLISHER: It is logical, if someone who does not even believe in God, how is he going to see his hand? If a person does not want the help of a friend or another person, will he have it?

HOUSEHOLDER: Well, obviously not.

PUBLISHER: If a person does not believe in God, or does not seek help from him... it is very difficult for him to receive it.

HOUSEHOLDER: Yes, I understand Alberto. Also, it would be very selfish of us to only remember God when he interests us.

PUBLISHER: Some time ago Juan, I offered you to study the Bible and it was not the time. How do you see yourself now?

HOUSEHOLD: Well, I would have liked to see that hand in the hard times of the pandemic.

PUBLISHER: Well, what do you think if I leave you this pamphlet that is ideal to get into the study of the Bible, you look at it without commitment and we talk in the next few days for a little while like today and we see something from that pamphlet “Enjoy the life forever” and I also teach you how God helps us cope with our problems.

HOUSEHOLDER: Okay Alberto, we'll settle on this.
