Your humility makes me great (2 Sam. 22:36).
A man can learn to be a good householder by imitating the way Jehovah and Jesus exercise their authority. For example, let's think about how they show humility. Jehovah is the wisest man in existence, yet he listens to the opinion of his servants. --Gen. 18:23, 24, 32. Although he's perfect, he doesn't expect us to be. Rather, he helps his servants, even if they are imperfect, to do well (Ps. 113: 6, 7). In fact, in the Bible, David told him, "You are the one who helps me" (Ps. 27: 9; Heb. 13: 6). He knew that everything he did he achieved only because Jehovah is humble and helped him. Let's look at the example of Jesus. Although he was "Master and Lord" of his disciples, he was willing to wash their feet. He said, "I have set the example for you to do what I did to you" (John 13: 12-17). Although he had a lot of authority,He did not expect to be served, but he served others (Matt. 20:28). w21.02 3, 4 pars. 8-10
How can a householder meet the spiritual needs of his own?
Attend to the spiritual needs of your family. Like his Father, Jesus cared for his followers to maintain strong faith (Matt. 5: 3, 6; Mark 6:34). Likewise, for a householder, the most important thing is that his family maintain a good relationship with Jehovah (Deut. 6: 6-9). To do this, he must ensure that he and his family read and study the Bible, attend meetings, preach, and strive to maintain good friendship with Jehovah.
How can a head of the family attend to the emotional needs of his family?
Address the emotional needs of your family. Jehovah told Jesus in front of others that he loved him (Matt. 3:17). Jesus showed his affection for his followers by the things he did and said. In turn, they expressed to him that they loved him (John 15: 9, 12, 13; 21:16). A householder can show his wife and children that he loves them by the things he does; for example, study the Bible with them. You should also tell them that you love and value them, and praise them in front of others when appropriate (Prov. 31:28, 29).
