Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022
Monday, January 17, 2022
You know what kind of men we become among you for your sake (1 Thess. 1: 5).
It is important for the student to see the enthusiasm and conviction with which we speak about the teachings of the Bible. This way he is more likely to be excited about what he is learning. Perhaps we can tell you how biblical principles have benefited us in our lives. This will help you see that they can be useful in yours too. As we study, let's tell the student about experiences of siblings who have overcome problems similar to the ones he has. Could you benefit from the example of a brother in the congregation? So, let's ask him to join us. Let's help him see the good results of following biblical principles. If the person is married and his spouse is not studying, why not invite him to join the classes? In addition, let us encourage the student to talk with his family and friends about what he is learning (John 1:40-45). w20.10 16 pars. 7-9
How can the teacher imitate the good example Paul set according to 1 Thessalonians 2: 7, 8?
Teachers must take a heartfelt concern for their students. They should see you as your future godbrothers (read 1 Thessalonians 2: 7, 8). It is not easy for them to leave their friends in the world and make the changes they need to serve Jehovah. So let's help them find true friends in the congregation. If we spend time with them on other occasions than the Bible course, we will show that we are their friends. We'll show sincere interest by calling, texting, or stopping by from time to time.
What do we want students to find in the congregation, and why?
An African proverb says: "It takes a village to raise a child." Similarly, we could say, "It takes a congregation to make a disciple." That is why good teachers introduce their students to the brothers in the congregation who can be a good influence on them. Thus students can receive spiritual and emotional support from God's people. We want each student to feel that they have a place in the congregation and that they are part of our spiritual family. If we can attract him to our loving Christian brotherhood, it will be easier for him to break away from close friendships with people who do not help him to love Jehovah. --Proverbs 13:20. If your friends around the world turn their backs on you, you will know that you can make true friends in Jehovah's organization. --Mark 10:29, 30; 1 Pet. 4:4).
